Bristol AnimeLeague Meet and Cosplay Club Night - Saturday 4th July AnimeLeague returns to Bristol on the 4th July to coincide with the Bristol Anime Club's 6th Cosplay Club Night! It's a great excuse for cosplayers and anime fans to come together to enjoy a fun party and drinking, with anime themes and Japanese music being played all night. During the daytime we'll be meeting up and spending the afternoon in Bristol, having dinner at a Japanese/oriental restaurant and then moving on to the party (held at The Crown pub, St. Nick's Market) at about 9pm. The party ends at 3am, so you'll want to plan transport back or stay over! You can find out more about the party here: http://www.cosplayclubnight.org/ (please note you need to be 18+ to come!!!) If you want, you can just come to the meet or the Cosplay Club Night without attending the other - we'd love to see you there regardless! On Saturday, we'll be meeting at 2pm to 3pm at the main entrance to Bristol Temple Meads rail station before moving onwards. If you're not coming by train, we can arrange to meet up with you elsewhere if needs be! Let me know if you plan to do this. What will we be doing in the afternoon? At the moment, that's yet to be decided - we'd like your input into this! Suggestions include * Visit Forbidden Planet for essential anime and manga retail therapy * Visit to the Watershed for inspirational cinema (depending what's on) * Shopping at the new Cabots Circus shopping centre * Bowling/laserquest/ice-skating * Drinks * Panicking over last minute cosplay repairs (hopefully not!) Please let us know what you'd be interested in doing! How do I get there? Bristol is a fairly major rail hub, with good rail connections to not only the South West but to the Midlands and Southern England too - making it an excellent place for ALers to meet! Bristol also has a bus station if you prefer to travel by National Express or Megabus, and if you're lucky enough to be able to drive then Bristol can be easily got to from the M5 or M4! If you're planning on coming down by means other than trains, please let me know and I'll arrange to meet up with you elsewhere if needs be! I need somewhere to stay! Let us know if you want to stay over and we'll look into getting a hotel booked nearby! Important Stuffs Please note that this meetup, like all other AL meetups, are subject to AL's rules so if you're not familiar with them please check them out - especially since alcohol will be involved! |

As I said in the last thread I'm going to try and make the cosplay night. Probably won't make it for all of the meet ib the afternoon but might catch the tail end of it depending on what happens on the day. |

I think I might come along to the meetup, but not the clubnight I'm afraid, since the trains run too late home and it's unfair to ask senpai to drive me back that late. But I'm totally game for the meetup

Oh wait I can't come to this, 4th July is Prom night which I've already paid for and it would be nice to say farewells to friends going to separate Uni's

Hmm, I miiiight be able to negotiate attending the clubnight, or at least staying a little later then say, early evening. Not sure yet - as it all depends on senpai's work hours, and whether or not I'll be moving house around this time. Either way, moving or not, I'm still 100% for the meet

Fresh off the press from Facebook, they're also holding a picnic on the Sunday after which might be tempting for anybody planning to stay over. |

Awh crap >< Now I really wanna go (to the clubnight, that is, not the meet in general XD 100% there for that), but it's extremely likely I'll be knee deep in summer assignments, private lessons and house-switching by then. But if I'm not, I'm considering the clubnight even more now - esp if there's accomm! =3 (God I love Bristol meets =D ) |
