except its partners job because i am heading into work for some OT
gotta get some extra pay for those roofers
and also i guess i do have a good amount of work to do
so worthwhile a bit
dont like to head into work for extra unless theres a good chunk of work in the queue
makes it worthwhile
then i have dnd sat and sun
but monday off work and nothing shceduled!

and now sad news that i really am still a bit in shock over
got the call late last night
as i was just punched into work actually
my uncle was killed in a hit and run outside his house in florida
it still seems surreal
i am so much more glad that i was able to visit him just a few months ago
but i now wish i had stayed longer
didnt take any pictures while we were there last time either
it. just. sucks.
and now off to process my emotions by just destroying some assholes in balders gate
not really feeling up to much else today

Because of snow, week 2 of 2 of my broadway chorus group was been cancelled
Boo
Thought singing might improve my mood
Instead more snow and ice and crap
Boo
Now stuck home, gotta shovel, gotta chores
Boo
Might need to play more BG3 to yet again take out my foul mood on some evils in there

Still haven't made it to a chorus night
Oh well
Will eventually!
Got the obituary out for Uncle
Looks like memorial will be delayed until early March though
Work has been long but solid
Think we finally convinced NASA that the part they wanted me to shoot cannot be done on my machine in that configuration
Sounds like the PE had thought I had a CT machine, I have a CR machine....
Similiar-ish but BIG difference in capabilities
Coulda maybe done it while the build was in process, but not in final form
Now just have to deal with these HALO welds being my bane :(
Making good progress in my reading goals this year, as I have four books down already
Tried to read the Tycho Brahe bio to my corgoloaf Tycho but he wasn't interested
Paid off another student loan!
Only 5 left now, and I think these ones are all younger and maybe only 8-9 years old
Maybe I will have them gone in another decade?

OH! HOW DID I FORGET THE BEST PART!

Saw my new primary doc and she actually wants to do something about my migraines!
Started me on a trial of a med and it is working so welllllllllll
I can function again when they hit
It's so nice I cannot fathom this could have been my life the last few years

Finally got the dates for my uncles celebration of life
Will be in Florida for it mid March
Will end up needing to take half of my vacation time off work to cover it
Hopefully this year the union negotiates more paid time off for us all
First meeting about contract negotiations is Sunday
But like always it's at like 10am...
I am due into work at midnight and the place is an hour away from home
Can't ever make those 10am time slots for anythinggggggg
It's legit in the middle of sleep and if I choose to abandon sleep times, then I won't be awake enough to report to work that night
One of the only bad things about third shift, imo

i mean, work late, late shifts while you can as you're young

you'll need to do less taxing shifts when you get older and the more you do them when you're young, the more likely you should be to get earlier shifts from companies in the future

i have had chances to move to first shift already
i just have chosen not to, as right now this shift works the best for me
i am sure in the future i will change my mind
but for now, i quite love working overnights
