Sherlock cosplay? Or any Non Anime/Manga/Videogame related cosplay?

Perhaps there's a thread like this that I haven't seen but here goes.


So I'm kinda nervous about my cosplay this year as one of them will be BBC Sherlock , and though I know quite a lot of people do cosplay non anime/manga/games I guess I'm worried I'll be totally out of place.
(there's no way I could live up to Mr Cumberbatch anyway but you know)

But then the other side of me says, cosplay should just be fun and be whoever you want ^_^

So I made this thread to find out how many of you are actually going in unrelated cosplays and also perhaps if there's anybody out there who will be my Watson BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE ONE!

That's so awesome, I'll have to find you guys! Especially for Snape ^__^ I did a Luna cosplay last year at ALcon, so much fun !

So many HP cosplayers O___O all we need now is some Hunger Games and we can totally have a book character face off!

Feeling a bit better about this now too I guess, I was nervous cos I just wanted to do it for fun but was so worried I'd get all ganged up on by people with better and more related costumes. But I guess I should know by now (third time at alcon now) that it won't be like that.

i think most of my cosplays are going to be non-anime related, got a deatheater outfit, deadpool costume and hellblazer constantine costume all ready :3

Way I see it is, Cosplay is 'costume roleplay' so you can dress as whatever but it's an Anime con so you gotta have some interest in Anime but you can dress how you want.

I'll hang out with you if you've got no one to go with, I've been there... -.-

I'll be in a red and yellow monster car suit ( I'll have conbadges for " Khaazbaar") or Kokatorimon, a big white chicken!

I will be doing Red Ranger, Slyrherin student and hopefully a hunger games cosplay if it arrives on Time will also be doing a Dalton Academy Warbler and Cheerios from
Glee.

Actually I got some good news, my bf is willing to cosplay Watson beside me!!! *fangirls into oblivion*

Yeah I pretty much thought that you can dress as who you want really, this'll be my third (maybe fourth) year at AlCon and this is the first time I've done a non related cosplay. I'll be coming with my bf but you can come hang out if you want, the more the merrier

Most of my cosplays this year are anything but anime. I have a nice even split though, two anime related, two cartoon realted, then two film/book related. I'm just gonna wear what I wanna wear at the time. All cosplay.
