Welcome to the first Flash Fiction of the Month!
(FFotM)

This month's theme: FAN FICTION
Description: To celebrate the change of name and to open ourselves up to new writing styles, create a short story from a manga or comic. Could be Akira, could be Batman! It doesn't matter.

All entries are anonymous.

Send your entries to either Anni or me (explodingdragon), we will be the only ones who know whose entries are whose.

You will have 3 weeks to get your entries in to one of us and then one week to vote for the winner.

1st place - 1000credits and a award for the award panel
2nd place - 500credits
3rd place - 250credits

START DATE - 19/07/2012
DEADLINE DATE - 09/08/2012

RULES
- Do not steal other people's work or use other people's work to claim as your own even if you edit it.
- Work can be submitted in any format
- Late entries will only be taken if they are 1 day late.
- Entries are anonymous so please do not say if you have entered or which piece was yours until the voting has ended.
- You can base your fiction off of any existing work or franchise, but include the title of the original franchise with your new piece.
- IMPORTANT: Maximum word count of 500 words.

can we do fanfiction based on an rp in cityscape?

Um... no. That's a game, based in an existing world.

TV shows, movies, novels, comics, manga, anime, webcomics, opera, musicals, radio plays, plays, short stories and novellas. These are all fine.

That's the idea of the theme, yes. We'll have a different theme next month.

So I can't do one based off a video game franchise?

If it has a canon storyline, that storyline has named characters, and those characters feature in your fanfiction.

The problem with doing a fanfiction of a running RPG is that the setting, the characters and story are fluid. One person could easily write something that's contradicted by another game.

Why has no one else entered this? I've only got two entries! You can get at *least* 250 credits GUARANTEED by PMing any piece of crap fanfiction (that you wrote, no stealing) by the ninth. It's that easy! What are you waiting for?

I couldn't ever write just a page for any story, really~

Can it be an unconnected/standalone page~?

No, it has to be a complete, understandable story.

Being fanfiction, you can assume the readers know what the characters look like and save lots of words by not describing anybody.
