Sophia noted a low tone in the little girls voice, though she thought what she might be able to do about that, there was an ice cream machine here in the station however, all wemon loved ice cream, no matter what age they were. She looked the little girl in the eye, knowing how grumpy she must look right now, but Sophia held out her hand anyway, motioning her eye towards the ice cream machine. " I take it those two bags are the next best thing to a teddy bear you got right now, though I think a cold ice cream sandwich should cheer you up, never known a little girl not love ice cream. I could not help but over hearing you don't have a name, every little girl needs to have a name, mine is Sophia, I think I will call half pint for the time being." was herintroduction to half pint.....

[Moonlit Memories]

Raven stared at his cup of coffee. He had been for the last ten minutes to be exact. His eyes only lifted when he saw the Marshal, Iyo-less, and entering Jacy's office. He frowned and could not help but bitterly think:What other secrets is she sharing? He sighed. He wasn't being fair and he knew it, but the strangler's words kept pounding into the back of his head.

He closed his eyes and willed his mind to quiet.He then took a breath and proceeded to tie back his hair.

Daniel glanced up at the unfamiliar woman that approached and almost whine, just as Duke might have, and shot his father a look that almost said 'But I wanna keep her'. His father only shook his head silently in return and the boy's shoulders slumped in defeat. He looked at the girl one more. She suggested a second meeting and her perked instantly, his smile returning instantly.

"Okay! Yeah! We can talk a lot more later. I can tell you all about it. So don't forget, okay?"

[Jacy Pane]

"If all ya were was a prostitute, den ya ain't tellin' me somethin'." Vyse finally said as he looked down at her, leaning his form closer to rest his elbows on his knees.

Jacy slowly let her eyes wander towards the Marshal's, tilting her head up slightly only to notice their faces were only inches apart. The sudden realization struck her in an instant and she immediately turned her face away from his, her eyes darting to the cool tile she sat on, but then she felt it, a firm, but gentle grasp on her chin forced her to look back at him once more. Her heart tugged almost painfully as her hand came up to press itself firmly in his chest. It wasn't the same. It wasn't the same like when the detective had held her in such a way. It didn't feel right, not at all.

"Please, stop..."

"Tell me de truth, Cher," Vyse replied, lowering his voice a bit as he watched the discomfort grow in the woman. "Ya wiped information from ya files, didn' ya?"

"Marshal--" Jacy complained as she tried to tilt her head away from him, pressing her palm further into him.

"Why?"

"...Because...I kept doing it while I was a cop..."

Ben nodded to the stranger and began his work. It was a wonder he didn't stay in his original line of work. His hands moved like well oiled machines as he cut into her, revealing the nightmare going on inside. His work was precise and quick. Not even a ten minutes had passed before he was closing her up. He cleaned the wound and singled for her to help carry the blonde to a spare room. It was a quick and quiet movement and when finished, he led his impromtu assistant to a sun room, though night was falling.

"I'm Ben by the way. I know its late for introductions but under the circumstances..." He leaned back in the well padded chair, his long legs spreading out before him. "What happened to her? I haven't seen her in that shape in ages. Then again," he looked thoughtful, "she's avoided me for ages."

She had. For good reason too. She had faith in him as a doctor but none in him as a person. Their relationship had been volatile and dangerous...messy to say the least. He had hurt her beyond repair.

Meanwhile, where Lynn lay she woke slowly to the sound of crickets in the yard past an open window. She knew this room. This bed...Attempting to rise, she hissed in pain. It was no where near what it was but the stitches warned her to be careful. She looked around, finding a house phone. Dare she use it? Dare she trust Ben? She had this far, it would be good to check in with the chief so she dialed the station and the extension. As the phone rang, Lynn pulled herself up against a mass of pillows.

Raven sat for several minutes once done with his hair before finally rising. He needed to quell his jealousy, doubts, he decided. If he continued to sit there doing nothing he'd worry himself into the ground and he knew it.So, deciding it was best to utilize the message he was supposed to pass as an excuse he moved to the chiefs door....maybe he should have knocked though...

He didn't though, then again he rarely did in the past either. No, he simply helped himself in. "Chief about that mess-"... yes, he should have definitely knocked. It would have spared him the sight of Jacy and the Marshal in an all too compromising position on the floor. They looked all to ready to...Raven's grip on the door handle tightened. "Sorry....didn't realize you were busy," he suddenly bit out and quickly turned and left, shutting the door harshly behind him. All thoughts of speaking with the woman inside gone.

[Jacy Pane]

The door had opened, drawing Vyse's attention towards it as he continued to hold the woman's jaw in his hand.

"Chief about that mess-"

Her heart nearly stopped when Raven's familiar voice came through the office, causing her gut to wrench almost violently inside. Vyse's hand had finally loosened around her chin, allowing the woman to turn her head completely towards the door to stare wide eyed at the detective, who stood in the threshold.

"Wolshire..."

Was all she could utter out as she saw that look in his eyes.

"Sorry....didn't realize you were busy,"

His tone cut through the room and in seconds he slammed the door to her office, leaving only Jacy, Vyse, and Duke inside. Jacy let out an exasperated breath before her eyes turned to look at the Marshal, changing from utter shock to anger. It burned within her, the urge to slap him again, the urge to scream at him for making things even more difficult, but she couldn't, she wouldn't, not until later. All that remained in her mind was chasing after the detective, so after shooting the man a deathly glare, she somehow managed to gently urge Duke's head from her thighs, and quickly rounded the desk to do just that.

Jacy opened the door, seeing Raven in the distance ahead of her and quickly she began to move after him, nearly sprinting as she called out to him,

"Wolshire...! Please, wait."

Meanwhile Vyse watched as the woman left, a small frown placed over his features as he leaned back in the chair. No sooner had she left did the phone on her desk begin to ring, catching the Marshal's attention. He glanced at the door, then the phone before his ring bearing hand shifted to it to answer.

"Chief's office,"

He greeted as he pressed the phone to his ear.

Did Raven stop? Of course not. He did not quite know where he wanted to go but his feet led him in long, fast, and angry strides. He heard her call after him, and his steps only increased. He couldn't deal with her right now, not with out completely losing his composure, or what little he had left.

Maybe he was over reacting though, a small part of reason said. Maybe it wasn't what he was thinking, but the way it looked from where he was standing and with all the secrets, the strangler's words echoing in his head, he just couldn't help but think that it was all pointless. He should just ....give up.

Duke huffed in disapproval when he was moved and trailed after the woman at least into the doorway. He whined then looked left and right then trotted back to the front of the station where he could smell his master's scent.

[Jacy Pane]

He was quickening his pace and she would follow suit, rushing quickly through the station after him, ignoring the discomfort of the bandage with her movements. The way he sped up, it was obvious he was trying to avoid her. Not once did he turn back to look at her and not a single word left his lips and now instead of him chasing her, she was chasing him.

"We need to talk about this, Wolshire!"

Jacy pleaded as she continued to follow him to wherever his strides would lead them, her emotions running high as that twisting over her heart became stronger.

"Please, talk to me...!"

Raven had rounded the corner leading to the station's gym. Her words struck a chord and the moment she rounded that corner he spun on his heel to face her. One hand rose and slammed into the wall with a loud slap of his palm. If only to keep his anger restrained, to keep him from putting hands on her as his spiking, irrational anger demanded.

"Talk to you?! Are you fuckin' kidding me!" His jaw clenched. A miserable attempt to calm himself. "I'm the only one that's been talking, or haven't you noticed. Why don't you go back to the Marshal. Clearly you two have more to discuss than we will ever have."

Had he ever been so jealous? Or even this angry? Aside from the amputations of his limbs, he was sure he hadn't. Oh the irony of it though, the playboy being jealous over one woman. It must have been some sort of divine punishment for all the sleeping around he had done. It only made sende that it was.

He turned away again, heading for the Gym's locker room.

The male voice that greeted her was not what she expected, she didn't even recognize it.

"Hello. Is Chief Paine or Detective Rodriguez available. This is Harper." She said it with no fear, knowing if the bad guys wanted her they would find her. They didn't need her help but someone had to know where she was and how she was doing if she hoped to get help if it was needed. Her belongings were gone but she had woke in clothing she remembered leaving here. Gifts from Ben. He had spoiled her, and she had walked away from it. A panic hit her trying to figure out where the clothing Carl let her wear were. Her heart stopped a moment before she got a grip on herself.

"It's vital that I speak to either of them immediately..."

[Jacy Pane]

She had turned the corner, following right behind him only to be instantly greeted with him turning towards her to send a thunderous crash of his palm into the wall behind her. The sudden outburst forced the blonde to flinch as the sound echoed in her ears. She let out a gasp as she stared up at him, wide-eyed and panting, her emotions running high between a mixture of shock, anger, and sadness.

"Talk to you?! Are you fuckin' kidding me! I'm the only one that's been talking, or haven't you noticed. Why don't you go back to the Marshal. Clearly you two have more to discuss than we will ever have."

"There's nothing going on between the Marshal and me!"

Jacy shouted out to him as she watched him turn to walk away from her yet again. His words had cut her and now her own anger began to rise at the situation. It wasn't fair, wasn't her fault, and now she risked losing him over it if she hadn't already.

Her breathing became raspy with bottled up and hidden emotions rushing through her as she noticed where he was starting to head off to. He was angry, infuriated at her to say the least, more so than he had ever been with her, more so than even at the hospital. She forced herself off the wall as she pressed forward, rushing towards the locker room where she slammed the door open and pointed a finger away from the door, keeping her eyes glued to the tiles as she yelled at the very few officers getting dressed inside,

"Get out! All of you!"

Caring about what they thought didn't cross her mind in the slightest. She didn't care. Raven and her needed to settle whatever this was, whatever the outcome would be and soon the few officers would leave, shaken up and confused. Jacy simply wouldn't leave this be without a fight.

"Dunno if Cher's in de talkin' mood. I'll try to find de otha tho."

He placed the phone down on the desk and soon stepped outside of the office, rushing through the corridors as he began officers if one of them was Rodriguez. One of them gave him a brief description of the man and pointed down the hall where he was located at. Vyse continued on until he spotted the tall man in the distance,

"Oy, ya Rodriguez?"

[Spike]

The metal in the stranglers hand shattered when it hit the skull. He had thought the skull was not that strong and that move was going to cost him. That move had left him open and there was no way he could get out of this one. When the mouth clamped down the strangler had this crazy idea. He screamed as the teeth buried into his armored skin. He played it off like he was in extreme pain and let his body go limp. He fell to the ground with his eyes closed and froze. He was sure the cat had ripped out a nice chunk of his stomach but he also knew he would regenerate the chunk back. He played possum knowing the cat would continue his attack. He would take every bit of the cats attack until he had his opening he wanted. The cat would eventually think he was dead and stop. The strangler decided at that moment he would strike.

Micro watched everyone in the station from his seat. Spike always said you could learn a lot about a person by observeing them during there day to day task. Micro noted that one officer had a thing for coffee. In the few short minutes he had seen him get up four times for some more coffee. Another officer was just walking around the area chatting with others and looking to see what they were doing. His attention turned when he heard the chief come out after Raven. He watched until they disappeared and went back to resting It was not long before Zero had come back and jumped onto the chair with his lunch box. He sat it in Micros lap and looked around the room for someone to mess with.

Raven bit the inside of his cheek as he heard the locker room door slap open behind him and the Jacy's sharp, bark of a command. The men hurried along surprised by the anger in her voice andher presence, but kept their musing to themselves. Raven continued to move until he reached an empty aisle of lockers and moved to one of the sinks. He leaned forward on it, grasping the porcelain sides and staring into the bowl. He said nothing until he was sure the room was empty.

"Jacy, please...just. Just give me a few seconds..."

Carl had justed lifted Daniel into his arms, it was much easier than holding his hand since he was just so small compared to Carl, when he heard his name called. He looked up instantly, just as Duke came trotting up as well. Momentarily his gaze swept, catching an odd man sitting on one of the standby benches near the door, before moving on to land on the source of the call.

"That's me," he answered meeting the Marshal half way.Duke seemed more interested in the odd six legged pet.

[Jacy Pane]

Her heart pounded with mixed emotions as she stared at Raven, watching as he made his way to one of the sinks. She frowned, as her breathing had slowly started to calm and once the officers made their leave of the gym, he finally spoke to her.

"Jacy, please...just. Just give me a few seconds..."

She continued to stare at him in silence for a moment as her own anger still burned.

"Fine. Whatever you say."

She didn't even try and hide her own irritation lingering in her voice. Already she was holding back from simply yelling at him as he had her, so without another word said, Jacy left, releasing her hold on the door, allowing it to shut behind her as she forced herself to walk away.

"Got a girl on de phone by de o' Lynn. Said she needed to speak to ya. She's on de Chief's line,"

Vyse responded as he tilted his head towards the direction of the woman's office, looking up to see the young boy in the man's arms, his son, he assumed. Once the message was given, he turned his head to look at the dog he had seen earlier in Jacy's office and the soldier he had seen dangling his legs off the building from the other night.

"Good to see ya didn' jump, cooyon. Woulda been messy."

[Spike]

Zero had been looking around the room when he noticed a dog not to far away from him. He tilted his head as he stared at the odd looking thing. Micro took notice of what Zero was looking at and laughed.

"Its called a dog Zero. Go play with it but be nice and do not cause any trouble."

Zero jumped off of Micros lap and got closer to the dog. He did not know how to approach the thing so when he got close he froze and waited for the dog to come to him. He stood there sniffing the air around him while he watched the dog. He did not know what was going to happen and Zero would be ready to make a move if he need to defend himself. Micro just watched as Zero approached the dog. Most animals on Esther were hostile so it would be interesting to see how Zero would act. He wondered if he would think the dog was hostile and attack or if they would become best buds and do whatever it is dogs do.
