June's What Are You Reading Thread?

I've just finished re-reading Another Bullshit Night In Suck City by Nick Flynn, it's a memoir dealing with his mother's suicide, the absence of his father and his time working at a homeless shelter in Boston. I'd really recommend it. He's also got a second memoir called The Ticking Is The Bomb whichI love.

So I finished Fifty Shades of Grey in about 12 hours (it has a very simplistic style of writing) and now reading the sequel, Fifty Shades Darker.

Reading lots of stuff about my work. It's all research stuff, and kind of boring. Journal articles are never fun.

I want to start reading manga again (ok I know, wrong section) but I'm too busy to do so

Play of Passion by Nalini Singh: It's one of the books in her psy/changeling series. Haven't finished it up yet, but I did read some of her other ones this month. My goal is the read them all.

It's not terrible actually. A little disappointing in terms of the BDSM as women are going crazy about how they've never read anything like it, but I found it to be lacking somewhat.

I'm on the third and final book now, Fifty Shades Freed, and kinda sad to be nearing the end.
