I used to have a collection of all the promotional Star Wars cans from the late '90s/early 2000s, but they blew up in my closet because that was back before I knew that serious can collectors actually prefer empty cans for that very reason. I had everything except a golden Yoda, obviously, because that shit would have gotten cashed in.

i can't believe that i forgot this, but i also seem to have a pretty large collection of pins (in regular buttons and other weird shapes) and a fuckload of hair accessories. some are bought, some i've made myself, there are a few crazy bandanas (my favorites are the black one covered in a cockroach print, and my pink one from la marca del diablo) i think that's about it.
I collect 1/48 scale model aircraft kits, which I build in versions and patterns from the various stories I write, and roleplays I run. I find the 'rivet-counters' who build them exactly as the real ones tremendously boring. I'm pretty much out of space though. I also half-heartedly collect inert/deactivated/spent ammunition for weapons, though it's really expensive, and not as easy to get hold of as I'd like. I used to collect Gundam models, but I had to get rid of a whole bunch of them when I moved out of my parents' place, and I also got fed up with them being not as detailed as my planes. If I move somewhere with more space one day, I might begin again.
I collect weeaboo things. Is this self-explanatory or do I have to list? I'll list anyway: - anime - manga - anime figurines - still own my pokemon cards - stitch things (i have tons of figures and shizz)

The only thing I really collect is hats. I wouldn't really call myself a collector as such, but, everytime I work at a festival, it just seems right to get a new hat to add to the pile. And in winter, when it gets cold enough, I get quite excited about new hat day and trawl around the shops looking for the perfect hat to warm my chilly head. Does it class as a collection if I give some away from time to time?
i collect vinyl, metal, hardcore, doom, hip hop etc

I collect old British comics, mainly the Boys' Own Adventure genre from the 1890's - 1930's (when they were, in fact, 'story papers', with text stories instead of comic strips XD), though I hoover up anything else I can find if it's cheap. Some of my favourite finds are: -The first volume of Chums from 1892 - 3 (a complete year's weekly issues sold as a hardback book, a lot of 'posher' magazines did that sort of thing back then - which makes some of them much easier to collect today!) -A solid run of The Boys' Friend from June 1902 - November 1904. Most of the run is in big books which are possibly the publisher's own file copies. -The first 24 issues of Union Jack from 1894, though unfortunately without the covers. Luckily the stories are complete -A solid run of Boys of Our Empire from 1900 - 1903, including issue 1. But later issues in the run have random pages missing >.< -The first 26 issues of Pluck from 1894, the publisher's own file copies! - Probably going on 200 issues of Roy of the Rovers from the 1970's - 80's, though with several odd ones missing. Which cost me £15! I much prefer the output of Amalgamated Press to DC Thomson, the latter's serial stories were not quite as good because they almost never had cliff hanger endings. As a semi-related collection, I also get old adventure story books from the same era. A lot of them are by the same writers, or else are book-form reprints of serials that originally appeared in the weekly (like what Japan's comic industry does now, with Tankobon collections). Most of the stories in these sorts of things are either adventures in the contemporary or recent past of the Empire, or are set in posh boarding schools. Historical stories (usually set in the 18th century, or the dark ages) are rarer. Sci-fi is even rarer still, but often interesting (mars being inhabited by giant spiders FTW). I also regularly get some modern British comics, namely Commando (the last Boys' Own comic that's sold in mainstream shops), Strip Magazine, Spaceship Away and The Phoenix. And more recently I decided to start looking out for people selling / giving away postcards with thier artwork on at cons. I wanna get a photo album and start putting them in it, with notes on the back about who made it, and which con I got it at. Just because.
I collect old and rare PS1 games. Occasionally, shops like CEX stock cheap RPGs such as Final Fantasy 7 for £3 so whenever I see them I like to stock up. As a completely different collection, I also keep all the weird or random lighters that I find whenever I travel. :3
