sometimes i'm an accidental racist

when my boyfriend and i first started dating we went to an outlet mall together and went into a BCBG store. there was this cute, natural colored tiger printed top and i was asking him if he thought it was my style or not. he said something like "i like the print but for you maybe a different color," and i said "yeah i guess i'm not really a brown person."

and that's when i noticed the cashier who was a sassy black lady giving me a stink eye and i kept over apologizing and we left in fits of giggles

One time I met a homeless man who called himself chippy when my friends and I were in philadelphia for a gravy train!!!! Show and for some reason I was afraid of him following us so when he asked our names I told him I was Samantha instead of my real name and he ended up really liking it, proceeded to ask us for money, and then got angry when we didn't give it to him. Then we ran to Wawa.

Name is Jennifer, though now a days, outside of family and coworkers, most call me Raiji....

As for fun facts....

--As most of AL, especially those who follow my ALJ, know I am obsessed with resin ball jointed dolls. I have been in the hobby as a collector for just over 2 years and I already own FIVE of the suckers and negotiating the sixth guy. Yes, the hobby is expensive, but I enjoy it.

--I am good at singing, and am one of the few who have the unique multi-range ability. Once properly warmed up, I can go from alto tenor to low range soprano. I was in choir of some sort till at least my freshman year of high school. Out of the years of choir I did in school, at least 4 of those years I participated in All-City, which basically is the best of each school district from 4-8 grades. From there, before my family stopped going to church, I also did singing for the churches youth angelic choir.
Now a days, I hit up the local pubs when I got the time and money to do so, and do karaoke to kinda keep the voice limber. I have even participated in karaoke competitions. I have made it to quarter-finals at least 7 times, and 3 times to semi-finals in these sort of competitions.

--I am one of the handful of members of AL, who have been here since the beginning. Of course, back when I started, for at least the first year, I was known as Mystic Saturn. Then I changed it to Raiji Magiwind, which is my oldest original character. That character has now long since been retired, though her character file is one of my largest at over 90 pages in Word. The handle I use now has gone on to be my all around artist alias and moniker, even nickname among most of my buddies.

--I will not hesitate to hit a man if they give me a reason too. Last time I did so, it was cause the man was being a complete dick. He got a 2 in steel Craftsman flywheel wrench to the kneecaps and the balls. I also was happy to slam his head into a steel table. This was in shop class in high school. Teacher knew of it, and didn't do anything about it when I did it. He also knew the guys, as me and at one time one other girl had been getting constantly sort of harassed by them. The other girl left. I decided I would show them I wouldn't tolerate there shit. After that the guys treated me like one of there own.

I am kitty. And most people know every thing about me.
But one thing most people do not know about me that might be interesting is that I am a huge hockey fan. It is about the only sport I like and will watch. I think its a great game. i love how fast pass it is. And I do love the fights. <3 A game with a lot of skill, and fights. Whats not to love. :]


And I used to be just like you yami For many year I needed to sleep in front of a fan. I can also not sleep with out a blanket. I dunno why I need to be able to be covers and cuddle a blacket or I wont really sleep.

Ok no jokes. I have a love of Japanese live action super hero shows (tokusatsu for those in the know ) that is...unusual to say the least. Its one of maybe three things that outs me as the geek other geeks makes fun off. The other two being my voice and all around awkwardness.
