London Anime Con 5 - Bring & Buy Quick Info - Complete spreadsheet, print off (typed, not hand-written). - Bring your stuff on Saturday with the form. Hand in to Merchandise Desk (just inside of the main entrance, at the side of the Registrations & Help desk) from 1PM on Saturday. - We start selling your stuff at 3PM on Saturday, or at 11AM Sunday. - Collect your unsold items and moneys from Merchandise or Registrations when you leave. Note: will will take 10% of your money as a fee. What is a bring and buy? A bring and buy is a place where you can sell merchandise What do I have to do? You fill in a form, with the prices of the items you wish to sell. You hand the items over with the form, and we sell it on your behalf. This means you don’t need to sit around while we try and sell your items. Does this cost anything? There is a 10% charge from the final price. This ensures we can keep running this event in future. Can I sell anything? The item should be related to Anime, Japanese culture, Computer games, or a similar area of interest to the general attendees. We won’t accept other items. Any items should be official. We will not sell on pirated goods (not to be confused with pirate related goods, which is fine). When does this run? Dropoffs will be from 1PM on Saturday at the Merchandise Desk (in the reception area, next to the Registrations & Help desk) with the Bring and Buy running from 3PM on Saturday and 11AM on Sunday, on tables next to the Merchandise desk. What happens at the end? You collect any money for goods you sold, along with any remaining items which did not sell. This can either be done from the Merchandise Desk, or the Registrations and Help Desk. How much should I charge for my items? Only you can decide what price you are happy with. For some people they simply want to clear space out at home. This is a great opportunity to get bargains. As a rough guide people expect to see things approximately half the value of something it was when it was new. This varies from one item to the other, but is particularly true with Manga and Anime. A normal manga at the bring and buy might be £3. A really good one might go for £4. A terrible one should be sold for less. Bulk items also typically attract a discount. If you are selling a 20 volumes series, try £50 instead of £60. Can I change the price half way though if my stuff isn’t selling? To avoid the hassle of doing this, we typically operate with a “Starting price” and a “reserve price”. This means that if your item hasn’t sold after a certain time we can offer it at the lower price. This ensures you have the best chance to sell your item, but also get the best possible price. Preparing your Items Sometimes, the label (shown below) can remain stuck on an item and ruin it. To prevent this, we commend you wrap each item in plastic, such as a plastic bag. For smaller items, food bags could be used. We will accept items which are not wrapped in plastic, this is upto you. We can now supply the plastic wrapping for you. The wrapping we have should be large enough for most items. Please keep these points in mind if you wish to do this: 1. The item must be visible through the bag (i.e. no logos etc) 2. We must be able to have access the item, so we can check the contents are present. I.E. a DVD inside a DVD case. 3. The bag will need to be tight around the item. It is essentially serving as a protective plastic wrapper. The better it looks, the more chance you have of your item being sold. Presentation is key! 4. The label must be visible on the outside of the wrapping. Can I sell hundreds of worthless Pokémon cards separately? No. There is a limit of 99 items per individual. That is 99 lots. If you sell several things together with one price this will count as one item. If you want to sell 5 identical plushies separately, they will count as separate items. How do I find out my seller number? After you have submitted your form this will be given to you. The form includes examples of what is correct and what isn't. Please fill in the form, print it off, then bring it with you. This needs to be typed up (by you) and printed off. If you wish to receive your seller number before LAC, then please contact me via PM ^_^ To label items it should look as below. If you have any other questions please post them here.

Oi! Naughty hugo Do you have a serious question or comment? Otherwise, no spamming please
How do you decide what constitutes a "good manga" and a "bad manga"? Since it surely boils down to opinions.
@stuart-says-yes I think he meant the physical condition of the manga and not the quality of the manga itself I will be sure to bring a couple of things along for this bring and buy!
Well, I borrowed the post from the last guy to run the B&B and I think he meant it as an opinion, knowing what he is like But, I'm going to say the quality because I'm running it now It would be really hard to sell manga thats falling apart or is practically unreadable, afterall. Yay Lucas! Feel free to bring your stuff
Needs a bump, incase people need to see this

Yep. I would prefer a pre-made one but i will have some to fill in on the day Remember to bring labels with you, because we won't provide them. Leave space for your seller number as we'll assign that at lac. We will have transparent bags and sellotape so we can attach labels to the bags. I've updated the selling/dropoff times. Theres no reason why we can't start collecting at 1pm on saturday, and start selling from 3pm saturday.
I'm going to give this a shot this time! I have a few pokemon tcg items i want to try and sell on should be fun!
