[GFX&Art] Sigs and things by V.

Okay! Found that I was bored this morning and decided to do a couple of the same sig see what style looks best, I also made some random wing thing and another two sigs that I want to finish but have no ideas for. Help and comment if you please, and I may upload some of my early (The day I even heard about Photoshop) works. XXD
[All of these use brushes that aren't my own.]

First is:

A plain red one.


The same with a leaf brush/stock thing I found.


Another plain red one, that I quite like, actually.


Miyuki from Basquash! with swirly pattern(s).


Miyuki from Basquash! with grass pattern and rain(ish) stuff.


Miyuki from Basquash! with some particle pattern or something.


Miyuki from Basquash! with more particles and a border.



Some ecchi pic I thoroughly edited, so if you see any problems apart from the shading in the hair, please do tell [These are the ones that I need help with for inspiration]. Green eyed girl without right arm:

A pretty picture that ended as abruptly as the canvas did when I was making it.



And there is that last hour or so's work, please rate/slate and comment.

Well on behalf of your sigs, they're actually then most new comers tags I've seen.

However you have fallen into some newcomers traps, like sticking your image and text in separate corners. This is a big give away of a newbie no offence, look at some more experienced GFXers sigs and look at their typography, like Me, Zen, Gojita [definitely look at his!!!] and Heartless.

Another thing that worries me in your tags that have focal images in them is there seems to be no blending going on, what you need to do is use colours that complement your focal or colours from your focal= in the background so it looks alot more natural and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb.

What I say you should do Is read up on some tutorials, I myself have made some very beginner ones and their all on my DA page which can be found in my sig.

For your first sig, I like version one the best. The black leaves in the second one add nice contrast, but I think they're too distracting since all of the brushes are different shades of the same color. You have a very nice vector style going on. Tatty (the poster above me) posted a great tutorial not long ago for vector tags if you'd like to check it out.

I really like the black and white smoke large piece (the last one you posted). It's very abstract and has nice flow.

Oh, in pics four-nine (the sigs) that writing isn't going to be there, I'm just paranoid that someobody will steal it and put their name on it before I get help with some typography from you guys. So it was put there as a hinderence to any would be thieves out there. XXD

Any tips for the afore mention typography? i was thinking of a nice handwriting script on the miyuki ones from top left till the image that says something along the lines of "Letting me win?" or "For the win!"/"Too bad~" kind of thing in pink/ish colours to complement the purples and then my name littering some other area, but what? What area? Does the described placing and lettering work? etc.

P.S. I interprit the last picture as [and made it as] a wing.... anyone else see it, or not?

Thanks dude(?). I like that piece... wish I would have continued aand had the good will to make the canvas a bit larger, but now it's done (and all on one layer to that) I can't add to it without a clear transition where it ends on the right... I might be able to work with that though if I ever get back to doing that piece.

Yo, peeps. I was thinking of making one oof those things that goes under my title [the little squares in a line] and was wondering if I'm allowed [for one], and what the specs of them are [for two].

You can buy one from our shop, but the only way to get a custom one is to become a head moderator or admin ^^.

The one under my name, for instance, became available in the shop after I was hmodded and I made it myself. =]

Hello Diablo

I like your first red sig, it's a really nice background and I also like the third red sig as well and really couldn't decide on which is better. The second sig however is fine, but those black leaves I don't think go really well, though I think if you blended them into the colors in the background they would look better.

The black and white smoke picture on the bottom I really love, and it looks like something that would fit a couple of my pics. I tend to use dark colors and I have one that is type of a ghost sig that that smokey thing would work perfect really. Somehow it also make me think of a storm system with a tornado in the middle and makes me think it's swallowing up nature since it has a snowflake in there as well.

Thank you all for your input, even if I am a bit unhappy that I have to be a head mod to have a custom blinking bar under my title. ::(

But other than that, all your help is much appreciated. And Pharaoh? If you want to, you can use the wing thing that you like, but unfortunately there's no point in me giving you the .psd because i believe i drew it straight onto the white canva, so your work would have to be black and white. ::)

Anybody got any ideas for me to use so that I can fill space in the random woman one where her arm is bleeding off into data?
