hello and welcome to the section!
your GFX is really nice, you just need to use a bit more effects for the background and learn some basic stuff that helps you gives flow and depth to your sigs. anyway they are well balanced, my fav is the last one. i really like your school work and the cd cover , simple and stunning! i would have buy it!
your photo are really nice i like the one with the flowers on first side!
keep up the good work and upload more!
That last sig you did, the green one with Miku was good, but /waitsfortomtobecruel/ you should try use textures and c4d's XD maybe on the figure herself, and the little crystals flying around her, try use a gaussian blur /Ipersonallylovetousethem
I do love the swirls on the left of the sig, they seem so different, how did you do that? D:
And maybe with the shade of green you used in this, you should have used some white to, it would have made it a bit starker, and the contrast/tome/ would have been quite nice :3 I do like the font you chose, and the white suits it :3
I like your work Jake XD you've got mucho potential :3
The most recent one is actually one of the ones I'm least proud of, the swirls are a fractal effect found the tut on psd
The background drove me mad, I spent forever trying to get it looking right, and left white out so Miku stood out a bit more
again backgrounds are things I'm working on but thank you very much for the crit ^.^
For the HM creativity contest
that's really good! i like it a lot, the text blurred is a good idea and it's well balanced! very good! let me know about the competition!

Well you've got some nice works here , but you need to play with some more elements except the BG to give your work more appeal. You should try working with brushes.
<.< i n e e d a G F X c h a l l e n g e >.>
yeah My brush work is really lacking, but looking at the HM piece I keep thinking of a few of my bloodspot brushes that might have worked better
dont fret it , you'll get the hang of selecting the right brush set after a while.
I am rather annoyed with how the background got flattened when I saved it a as png (my own fault for interlacing it I suppose)
Also I quite like these two I made
I'm feeling like making some more Shiki based stuff
1. work on your background colours, try extending the gradient wider so there isnt as much of a line in the middle and the colours run smoother in the middle.
2. work on blending renders/stocks in your background,
3. stop putting your text right into the very corner.
thanks for the critique Tom
much less trollish than I was expecting
downloaded some new brushes
had a bit of a play
I'm still not 100% about the yellow
but I might have a bit more of a play with it later
i like the yellow, is great with black, it looks still a work in progress, only thing i can say is that i prefer the vector brush layer under the other so that it does not cover the background. hope it makes sense!
You may want to use the same kamikaze pattern behind the brush work too to make it look more darker and more bolder.
thanks for the crit guys
I've been doing more brush work
