Shit happened, sorry peeps. Meant to finish it off on thursday, but fell asleep at my laptop for the first time in my life. With first year of uni ending soon, I've been working myself into oblivion, even though I did try to make everything come together and did tell you all I could make it. Every time I get to participate in one of these things, real life comes along and fucks it up. I'm seriously pissed off. Sorry.

Voting on this was tricky. Severine's was really well written but I didn't like the subject matter. DJ's was alright written, not as good as Severine's, but a lot happier.

DJ's story has the plot hole of 'why has the kid not found any easter egss before?'. But it at least ends on a happy note.
Severine's story is about a woman crucifying her son to make flowers grow. It's pretty nasty, and also very pagan in a Wicker Man sort of way.

So I ended up going with DJ's story. It's happy!

Two very different pieces. It was odd to read one after another. CeeCees was very well written and very gruesome. DJ's was written well too, however not as much as Raine's. DJ's story was more enjoyable though, what with the happy ending and all.

Going to go with CeeCee. It's a dark and unpleasant plot but overall I thought it was the better piece.

Tough choice.

DJs was good, a much brighter story more inclined towards the modern, commercial easter holidays.

Severines was also good, a closer nod to the origins of easter than the current day interpretation.

Both stories were well written and different, with pros and cons for each one. In the end, i voted Severine purely because i felt it was the better of the two.

OK so, i liked both, two different view of the same matter, interesting, ended up with DJ's one cause if you really want to be profane be sarcastic and let me think for a week. But great Raine, i wouldn't be able to write it in any case nor be so brave to post it in all honesty! *admiration*

I voted severine. I thought it was well written and cleverly done. Something I particularly liked was the structure. The paragraphs set out as they were, as small moments over an extended period of time, made me feel like I was looking through a pile of photographs.

I did enjoy dj desolates and it did make me laugh but I had to go with the way it was written.
