Who is your favorite marine? (One Piece)

Hi everyone 

This is my first thread so please go easy one if it is a repeat of another thread because I looked and could not find one here ( maybe I missed it)

Anyway back to the topic.

Most of the time when you talk about One Piece people tend to talk mostly about Luffy  , Zorro  , sanji  , Nami  , Robin  , Usubo  , chopar  , Franki  or Brock . Additionally to other characters like Hancoock and MiHawk.

But I do not remember anyone talking about the marines.

And I am curious , who is your favorite marine and why?

My favorite is Sengoku, why? I really did not like him at first, but after what he said to shanks and gave him acs and whitebeard's bodies, I respected him and liked him.

So what about you guys?

I really like Monkey D. Garp, because of his eccentric personality in general and because while he seems devoted to his duties, he has his own sense of justice and does not always obey orders given to him.

I am going to have to go with Anni on this one, I LOVE GARP lol, he is an amazing guy.

I really like Garp. He's dedicated to his job. But also knows what is right. He does the right thing even if the higher ups don't like it.

The problem with this thread is there aren't many nice marines. Most of them are lying, close minded, ego centric, finatical assholes.

I wouldn't go that far Jacecam, I quite like Aokiji, Smoker, Tashigi, Hina, Coby, not so much Helmeppo. None of them are really evil

Ok blah that's 8 decent people amoung how many Shitty marines? We've come across at least double that in jack holes

well considering they're meant to be the bad guys in the series, are you surprised? There's still enough nice ones to justify the thread. And to be honest, most of the marines we've met haven't been douchebags, they're just doing their jobs, apart from Akainu, Spandam, Axe Hand and a handful of others, most are neutral.

Well there is still nami's mom who was a marine.

Personally coby, he is gonna be something crazy I am sure especially after the time skip

He will be, but I'm worried, he defied Akainu in the war and Akainu is now in charge. Also if he's still training with Garp, I'm worried he'll run out of growth. Garps not the strongest, although I guess he used to be stronger considering he used to go toe to toe with Roger.

Garp is one of the strongest marines. That's why sengoku stopped him after ace died. He knew Garp WOULD have killed akainu. Despite his age.

I am sure he could keep growing under garp and Lava man is kinda preoccupied delivering his absolute justice to mess with coby's progress
