I think it's great! It looks very professional and well-designed. I could totally see that being a chapter cover for a manga.

That's really exceptional, Vir. Seriously, I thought I was looking at a stock before I realized you made those. What's this project all about?

I also like it! Very well done.

I'm also curious as to what it's about.

Re: Back in my element (A)

Well as for my project ..... like I said its a trading card game based around using mythological (and some original) monsters out of your deck(or bestiary as it shall be called) and making formations to battle other beast keepers

buuuut.... I got a few complaints that my cards were too childish soo I cut the crap and went wild.... and this is what came out for my first attempt at painting in photoshop

Its the flagship beast for one of my intro decks

      its called "Lord of Vermilion"

      Wow, that's incredible. O.o

The pose of the creature's body is perfect. It looks like it's sprinting and flaming at the same time and not really caring if it's balancing properly, because it's filled with rage. <-- That's a lot of information to pack into one body, so good for you.

I like the blurriness of the colors. What made you decide to do them that way?

For a first attempt, this is phenomenal. You should be really proud.

Re: Back in my element (A)

let me start off by saying that I am liking your work. I've been looking over it and I'm seeing a real talent here. If you would permit me, I'd like to go over a few points on the images on this page. lets start in order to make this easier

Now that is some beautiful line art right there. My biggest complaint is that it isn't colored. What are you waiting for? lol Aside from that, it looks stunning and I think you'd be extremely good and I'm considering bugging you for character drawings. The proportions of the girl are spot on, and as much as I like color, the black outfit with the non colored body looks stunning. There is always room for improvement though, so I'm expecting your next line art to blow me away with more intensity than this one. As it goes though, I think its completely splendid and I myself am unable to offer any guidelines to improve it. bravo on your wonderful piece!

Creating a card game is tricky business. Planning out rules is hard work. That being said, I'm a graphics person and not a rules person, so lets get to the meat. I think those cards look well done, but empty. card 2 for example. it has no written abilities, so instead of having a blank card with flavor text, you could extend the image focus outside the box. this would give us a full card image of the monster itself (while leaving the background of the box withing its confines.) Card games are starting to do this more with full card art and I'm really getting behind it. Cards without abilities have a chance to focus more on the art than the cards. I do like how card 1 looks, but I can't help but think megaman legends when I see it. you know that girl scientist who makes those lego block men? can't remember her name. anyways its not bad though, and from reading its ability, I rather like that card. I also like the way the cards are laid out. They do look a bit cartoony, but at the same time so does the pokemon card game and that makes a lot of money still. good job on them, and I do hope to see more cards released. I'd love to playtest the system for you if you'd let me

ok now for the dragon. For your first piece in photoshop, this shows you have potential. I will say that it looks more like a painting then conceptual art for your card game. traditionally, water color paintings (which is what it looks like to me) are used for more stylized representations of art. Usually when doing art for a card, clean renderings work better. Taking this picture by itself though, its really nice looking and does showcase your talent. The dragon looks wonderful (albeit the lines are shaky looking to me) and the coloring reminds me of a well done water color painting. No doubt that you'll get better with each piece you do. I greatly look forward to your next piece of work, and the release of your game.

Keep it up cause I'm interested in seeing what else you have. ^^

      *adjusts glasses*

Loli all up in here. I actually like this bleach character as well, more for the fact that she and stark play off each other so well. its fun to watch their interactions. The proportions are off on it, unless you were aiming for it to be a chibi artwork. Aside from that, add some shading and make her look less stiff. She looks like she has a stick up her butt lol. Otherwise its a great image and you did a good job. since you said you did this one quickly, I hope you revisit it and update it! I look forward to seeing more from you
