Ok this is more for alcon,
im making a really epic cosplay (all out/detail etc)= for mcm october, and thought ummm know what i use it for alcon too buttt i got a detail sword... there rules like your allowed it outside for pics or only stage, but not in accomdations or not allowed at all ?

second thing is EVA FOAM (never used it but mate told me about it), im going have like a gauntlet/orr glove with eva streeks on it depend way i do it + a peice attached to my neck= eva foam allowed ? mate says it doesnt exactly hurt :p

= shall take better pics to help decide but yeah sword was main question :p, the eva is bendy plastic i dont see it hurting

Haha, no worries. The rules will be very close to the same for Alcon, only changeable possibly in regards to size of cosplays in general as Alcon is a much bigger place and venue. A thread will be coming up shortly which will have the rules. I haven't quite decided on most things yet, so I will have to get back to you on this. I hope that's okay.

For Alcon we can only really limit what you bring inside the actual venue. So what ever you do outside or at the hostel we just ask you to please be careful and watch out for yourself and others.

As for EVA foam then that's absolutely harmless so use as much as that as you want Hugo! xx

ok awesome outside park pics, hostel just store it, no wep for when inside unless i assume ok for masq event ? <3 to make even more wow on stage.

For the Masquerade it's cool, just bring it to the pre judging and then you can store it behind the stage with us until the Masquerade is on. And anytime Hugo xx

i shall do, worst case, cosplay still look epic without sword, and using sword for mcm (just wanted use my cosplay for alcon too since be my best one)

It's 5 feet long, made from soft wood and the "metal" end is made from molded plastic which are rounded off so as not to be sharp.

i get a feeling still not allowed cause ppl may mistake it for metal o.o it sure looks realistic metal enough to hurtttt (obviously you wont be hitting ppl but pfft you do get idiots which think you may)

I'm a bit worried that this might not be allowed into the venue so I will consult my Organiser and get back to you soon. It would most definitely be allowed on stage for the masquerade, but not sure if it would be allowed were you to walk around with it inside just because even though the ends have been rounded off to make them blunt, they still look quite sharp. I will get back to you soon.

I am going to purchase a soft gun for a cosplay, but I plan on making the magasine unaccesable and stuff the 'hole' with something thats unbreakable and most likely viseble. Would that be okay?
