OOC: I should just say, as I'm acting as the Game Master for the game, I'd prefer if people asked me before introducing elements to the plot or background. Otherwise, game on!
@ Ortaga - that's a very cute reaction from your character too, I love it
IC: Alyana walked along the corridors, looking in fascination at the range of beings around her. There were other Antherians like her, of course, but there were also the furless humans, who had odd-looking too-flat faces and no tails, the half-human, half-cyborg Voracis, the gray-skinned Grimas, and the fascinating Drezan. Her big blue eyes flicked from person to person, her ears perked to attention with the excitement of it all. She almost missed the door with the name and number of her squadron on it, in her excitement:
100TH ARMOURED TACTICAL ASSAULT CORPS
"BLACK KNIGHTS"
She stopped short, and made a small churring, growling sound of interest, one ear twitching back, before she tapped the door release panel.
Of course; being as self-absorbed in her surroundings as she was, the pretty Antherian hadn't noticed Seras pursuing her fluffy white tail with fixated interest. As she stopped and turned, she came virtually face to face with the other female pilot, and yelped in surprise, stepping back and putting her hands up in alarms, and stumbling over half-formed words that the communicator hooked onto her belt couldn't translate fast enough, instead coming out as a string of short yips and barks before she found her tongue, looking over the Drezan in front of her.
She had an exotic quality about her, with petite, almost elfin facial features, with a sharply pointed chin and nose, which were at contrast with her long, flowing hair, and the long horns on her head. Other parts of her body showing from her flight gear were scaled and rugged-looking, but had their own charm. And she wagged her tail as she noted the reptilian tail extending behind the female pilot.
"I'm um, Alyana," she said by way of greeting, trying to remember how to smile properly, and managing it. She gestured into the room. "I'm the commander of the Black Knights, or I will be. Are, uh, you one of the pilots for the squadron?" she said, giving a much better smile this time, and a slight bow from the neck.
