Kabu sighed as he turned around out of respect as she changed, closing his eyes as she spoke about relying on strength. He was not one to go looking for a fight, though if one found him he would win it. He kept his back to her as she changed, knowing she would let him know when she was fully clothed. He shifted his eyes to her when she mentioned their tactics. He shrugged, forgetting she was still changing as he spoke to her.
"Well, my guess would be a recon of the area would be to our advantage... and if Spinachi wants to go in guns blazing, he can provide our distraction...."
He shrugged, trying to figure out what she meant. He did have a feeling of uneasiness, but he had no idea where it was stemming from. He raised an eyebrow, turning around as he realized he was staring a bit.
"Well... there was an odd feeling in my stomach a short time ago, you think we should recon the others to figure out the enemy?"
Kabu blinked as he realized something, he left his scouter in his pod when he was changing. He went to his pod, putting on the scouter and pressing the button on the side.
"Yo, arro... er Spinachi... what's going on there? I had my scouter in the pod a second. I got a bad feeling, are you guys alright?"

What on Earth am I doing?! I don’t work well with others, especially arrogant punks like him.
Shaking her head, Kalenia ignored his snickering because the reasoning behind it wasn’t worth arguing about. Taking in a deep breath, she floated in the middle of the air, both legs crossing Indian style while her arms rested against her thighs. She was going to meditate for a moment or two while the figured out what the next step was going to be. Perhaps the others would decide to join by that time. Being alone with him wasn’t exactly thrilling to the warrior, but she would do whatever was needed to make King Bardock happy.
"So, are the other two going to join the plan as well, or should we try and figure out their plan?"
“Don’t know, Spinach. Do I look like their keepers? Let me answer that with a big fat, no.”
She was about to say more when he decided to take it upon himself to talk to Kabu via their scouter. Crossing her arms against her chest, she remained floating in mid-air, glancing around cautiously. The last thing they needed was to get busy talking about a plan and be attacked. Her fingers found their way up to a strand of hair, and she twirled it around her finger, waiting for Kabu to answer. All at once her nose began to twitch and just as it reached its climax twitching, her scouter blipped to life as an intense amount of power made its presence known. This was always the case whenever she was in battle, but generally she had more of warning than this. She barely was able to let out a cry of surprise when Spinnaci practically rammed her down into the trees. Snapping her head towards where the energy had come from, she snarled as it disappeared just as quickly as it appeared.
What in the hell was that?!
Following behind Spinnaci, she easily leapt from tree to tree, keeping up with him. So, apparently the natives had something about flying? Or maybe they could sense their powers? Either way, it was utterly ridiculous, and she wasn’t one for tree bouncing. A voice crackled across the scouter, and Kalenia nearly snickered as Kabu nearly called Spinnaci arrogant, but she managed to bite back the giggle. Pressing the communication button, Kalenia decided to talk with Kabu because she wanted to remind them she was part of the group too.
“Hey, Kabu. I think Spinnaci and I were just attacked by one of the native things. We’re alright though, but be on your guard.”
"Though it's been a while now... I can still feel so much pain. Like the knife that cuts you… The wound heals, but the scar, that scar remains."
No sooner had Kalenia finished her message than an invisible enemy attacked her from above, landing a solid blow to her right shoulder that knocked her off balance and sent her crashing down through dozens of tree branches and towards the ground's tropical foliage. Less than a second later, two energy beams flashed vividly from ahead of Spinacci and came searing through several tree trunks right at him. The scarlet ki waves burned anything they touched, leaving dark black scorch marks along the thick tree trunks. Kalenia's scouter was still activated during these attacks; Kabu and Chardney heard everything through their own scouters.
Invisble enemies attacking from behind, able to hide their power levels from the Saiya-jin scouters... The elite warriors had not yet reached the village but these aggressors could only be the natives that King Bardock had warned the warriors about. Their powers definitely put them at an advantage at the beginning of this battle since they had the element of surprise, but their choice of battlefield would eventually lead to their downfall; if one had keen eyes and ears, one could detect the tell-tale rustle and movement of leaves and branches that gave away the native's position.

Spinnaci watched as Kalenia was attacked by nothing and flown through the trees, and it wasn't long after that he noticed two ki waves flying towards him. He quickly dodged them and sent a blast of bluish energy of his own in the same general direction, but the wave hit nothing as he was also attacked from behind, the feeling of a foot slamming into his back made him fly through a tree and slam into another. The pain was harsh, but it was nothing he couldn't pick himself up from and he quickly looked around to try and find where the attack had come from. They may have been invisible, but they weren't immaterial. Spinnaci may have been arrogant, but he was also intelligent...something he tried to hide from the others so he always looked like an idiot. He looked around and noticed a couple of leaves bent in a tree just above him, as well as the plants on the ground moving back and forth despite there being no wind.
This was what he was waiting for. He released another blast from his right hand into the tree above him and, in the same motion, rushed to where he noticed the plants moving. In a very quick motion, Spinnaci's left leg swung and connected to an invisible body with all the power he could muster...and he could swear he felt some bones crack in the process.

Kalenia turned to resume following Kabu, but apparently the natives had other plans for her. Just about to push off the current branch, she was instead met by a blow to the right shoulder. Despite being extremely agile and able to balance no matter what, she was knocked off her feet. The force was enough to send her colliding through branches that were generally meant to keep this from occurring. The ground was approaching at a rapid pace, and the idea of ruining her exotic features wasn’t thrilling to the warrior. Both hands cupped in front of her as she gathered a small amount of energy. Using it in short blasts, she managed to slow herself down enough to land in a crouch on the lowest branch. Snarling, she snapped her head around, trying to locate the thing that nailed her.
“Guys, we’re being attacked. I repeat, we’re being attacked so be on your guard.”
Inhaling deeply before releasing the breath, Kalenia felt herself calming down. She tilted her head a little, listening to everything around her. Off in the distance, she could hear Kabu fighting with what she assumed was the natives, but at the moment, that didn’t concern her. Suddenly leaping off the branch, she glanced back to see it being sliced through thanks to a ki wave. So, there was a native nearby. Landing deftly on the ground, she didn’t bother looking directly for the creature nor did she bother sending energy towards the area it probably had been occupying moments before. Instead, she took in her surroundings, attempting to see if anything was different than it should be.
Odd… there isn’t an ounce of wind, yet… the plants are doing a little dance as if it was blowing from the north.
Scrunching up her nose, Kalenia snapped her head up towards the branch above her as the leaves moved back and forth. Clenching her fist, she jumped off the ground and rammed her fist hard into the creature that was perched upon the branch. The force was enough to knock it off the branch, and she jumped down after it. Thanks to the grass flattening as the creature hit, Kalenia knew exactly where it landed. Landing on top of it, she held her hand down towards the thing. Just above to release a burst of energy, she heard leaves once again rustling above her, but before she was able to react, something nailed her hard in the side. Her body was sent up into the air just in time to be hit by another creature. She knew it wasn’t the one on the ground or the one in the tree, because she could still see the indention in the grass and the leaves moving on the branch. So, there were at least three in her vicinity. Landing in a crouch, she sent a blast of reddish energy towards the one in the tree as well as the one on the ground. The third was probably floating in the air, which meant it was going to be difficult to find it.
“Show yourselves, you cowards!!”
((OOC: Sorry for the delay! Busy busy!))
Chardey was waiting to hear the response to Kabu's inquiry and it didn't take long as she thought to reach them. The enemy, or at least what they called the enemy, had attacked. To her, it was obvious that their defense was justifiable as they would do the same on their home planet. But orders were orders and her loyalty would not be questioned. She looked to Kabu and nodded. They both knew they had to go into the fray. Too many warriors had been lost already to the mysterious natives.
She hurried into the air and head in the right direction, concentrating on energy levels as she was aware that the scouter would fail her until it was too late. Her body tingled with anticipation as they neared the others.
The odds were good, all things considered. There was no wind at the moment and the invisible creatures were not careful enough. But something shocked her and she stopped midair. Her eyes scanned the area, noting the strangely bent leave, footprints, and general displacement. Either the area was damaged or the warriors had walked right into a trap.

Kabu had decided to take a different route than the most direct to aid his allies. He was in their sight when he saw the trap that the others walked into. As he surveyed the area, he noticed that leaves and grass were moving without wind, drawing the obvious conclusion. That was how he was going to track their enemy, and it was also time to show the others that his power was not the only thing he excelled in. in ratio to the other, his power level was not the highest. But he was by far the fastest, something that was going to come in handy right now. He pressed the button on his scouter, opening a channel to all his team members.
"I count six so far based on observations, but they are about to start focusing on me. Be ready, time to show you why I was chosen despite not being as powerful as some of you..."
With that he dropped his sword, which began to fall toward the ground. He bolted toward Spinachi, as one of the natives was heading toward him. It was mostly to show the arrogant male that he wasn't the only one with skills, but it would do. In less than an instant, Kabu was right in front of Spinachi, seeming to appear out of nowhere. He was using speed that would have made Burter appear to be standing still, spinning around in the same fashion and kicking what appeared to be air. His foot connected with something, sending it into the ground to form a massive crater. As the others watched, his sword had also hit the ground, forming a crater four times as deep. It was now obvious as to how Kabu was so fast, gravity training combined with the weight of a sword that weighed more than 5000 kilos would do wonders for anyone's speed. He was now quite sure the other natives were going to focus on him, their kin shattered to pieces in the crater below. All he could do now was hope his team members had his back as he assumed the enemy in the area were now advancing on him.
OOC: Heya @Gren @ Faithy @Axion @PrincessLUV , sorry for the delay, new responsibilities for the new year and bla bla bla... Anyways, let's try to keep a steady pace from now on.
Spinacci's energy blast rocketed skywards into the tree and slammed into an invisible force that stopped it short of grazing the tree's bark. Less than a second later, it blew up in a violent shower of wooden shards and charred gibs. Whatever was there before the explosion was now either vaporised or severely burnt, leaving no body behind to identify.
His second attack was just as devastating as he landed his kick right in the crook of the invisible humanoid's neck. The force of the attack snapped the enemy's spine, killing it on the spot and sending the corpse barreling away like a ragdoll into another tree. There it faded into view and for the first time, the Saiya-jins could see their aggressor's appearance.
X234's natives were bronze skinned humanoids that walked naked and appeared to show no signs of genitilia. They were lithe in build and taller than your average saiya-jin but nowhere near as stocky. Their eyes were small, yellow and locked wide open in a menacing stare. Though they had a mouth, they had no nose and their skin's texture was rugged like coarse leather. The one Spinacci had killed was bleeding a blue fluorescent liquid from the corner of its mouth, its head twisted sideways at an unhealthy angle.
Before Spinacci could comment on the odd look of their foes, three explosions cut him off: the two ki waves Kalenia had fired and Kabu insta-gibbing another invisible enemy, its mangled corpse now also visible. Kalenia's attacks had left gaping holes in the jungle's canopy as big as Spinacci's and, like him, they had vaporised whatever was there before. It made one wonder if the enemies were too slow to dodge energy attacks or whether they simply underestimated their blasting power...
Four aliens were now dead. If an average saiya-jin's entire squad was slaughtered, they might throw a raging fit but the last two remaining aliens made absolutely no sound whatsoever to express their displeasure, if they even felt any. They moved swiftly and stealthily around the saiya-jins since they realised that staying put left them vulnerable to explosive energy waves... Then pounced from behind and above onto Chardey in an attempt to grab her arms and legs and silently subdue her.

It was hard not to admire the work of the others, but she frowned at the complete destruction taking place. If there was a pacifist in the group then Chardey was closest to being it. She moved quickly amongst the others, efficiently luring the enemy into positions that doomed them. She was right, they would see her as little threat and came at her almost carelessly. Her focus changed from the plant life to the air itself. Her deep mode of concentration allowed her to focus on every breath and movement.
She stood still, a distance from the others, eyes on the bodies of of the enemy. Two lingered, smartly trying to stay hidden in their invisible state. Her wide eyes closed, a disturbance behind her and above, at the same time? Foolish, foolish. Her body turned in a smooth motion, her chi channeled into her arm as it tunneled though a now visible body. Her eyes seemed dead as she watched the native choke on his own fluids. Her other arm rose to fire at the second attacker but it was in vain as the invisible hand hit her arm and pulled it back. She felt the pop as it was dislocated and the thump as it fell limply her side.
She removed her arm from the still dying creature and turned swiftly to see the silent footfalls of her attacker. No words escaped her as she was rushed. Her body fell back, slightly above the ground as the invisible warrior moved above her. Her goal was to get this one alive if it did not kill her first.
Kalenia’s plan hadn’t been to cause any damage to the actual environment, but deep down she knew that it was impossible to keep that goal considering the type of battle they were engaged in. Shaking her head, the warrior studied the area cautiously. Her scouter beeped, indicating that Chardey and Kabu were nearby. That made her feel a little bit better, but not a lot considering they couldn’t even see the enemy. Suddenly wishing that she had gone with Chardey a few times and learned to truly meditate, she tried to do what she remembered. Closing her eyes in order to let her other senses take over, the lithe female focused on everything around her.
“I count six so far based on observations, but they are about to start focusing on me. Be ready, time to show you why I was chosen despite not being as powerful as some of you..."
Kabu’s voice in her ear totally broke her concentration, and the young woman glared up at the man as he began fighting the invisible natives. Of course he would have to take this time to show off his speed. Snorting under her breath, she crossed her arms against her chest, meditating once again. There was still at least one alien in her vicinity, and she was waiting for it to attack her. Kabu could take care of himself; something he boasted about on a daily basis. There were disturbances in the air that she could distinctly sense, and the disturbances were shooting towards Kabu. His idea to have the enemy go after him was working, but she could still feel one near her, and that definitely bugged her.
However, something else caught her attention and she snapped her eyes open just as something slammed into a tree nearby. Jogging over towards the sound, Kalenia gasped at the corpse of the foe they were fighting. It was absolutely naked, but appeared to lack anything that let her know its sex. Kneeling down beside the body, she studied it closely, wondering what it did on a daily basis. Wishing she had a vial to get a sample of the blood or whatever liquid it was leaking, Kal shook her head before sliding back up to her feet. The foliage was managed much like the dead bodies, and after counting, she realized there were just two more. Shaking her head, she turned to watch Chardey fight with the remaining two, and decided to wait for the girl to make a motion that she needed some help.
Kabu had finished the ones that had decided to come at him in rage, their anger making it easier for him to pinpoint them. Based on his count, there were two left, and one was heading for Chardey. He glanced at his female teammate who gave him an almost invisible nod. He looked up to Kalenia, giving her a wink to let her know that the last one not near Chardey was all hers. It was the unspoken plan between him and Chardey when the others left on their own. Capture one and gather information from it. Right as it was nearing Chardey, Kabu once more used his speed, coming up behind the enemy and holding it still from behind. He saw the light smirk on his teammate's face, grinning a bit.
"What? I figured out what your plan was... I only ACT stupid... makes people underestimate me more than normal... This one gets to live... well for now anyway. Kalenia specializes in interrogation, when she is finished with the last one, I will let her have first crack at this guy.... woman.... thing...."
Reaching up instinctively from her bent state, her hand grasped something. The scene seemed like slow motion for her as the grip tightened and the creature fell. She could feel even movement of its muscles as it prepared to strike back. Her hand went forward to block and intertwined with the invisible fingers and she was sure she saw a flicker of the strange skin. The native was losing its concentration, a battle one should not lose when paired against Chardey. In a quick movement, she slammed the creature to the ground and twisted the limbs. It let out a strange howl.
"We must secure this one." She said this lightly as the invisible creature struggled.
][@Gren STOP being a punk and post. >[
Kalenia crossed both arms against her chest, flicking her tail back and forth beneath her in irritation. Kabu decided to assist Chardey in taking out one of the creatures. Blinking as he winked at her, she wondered what he meant by it. Bouncing a bit in place, she found herself glancing around for the final creature. They needed to get one alive to interrogate, and they needed to do so before more came their way. It quickly dawned on her that he was letting her kill the final alien, and that pleased her immensely. Stretching out her tail a little bit, Kalenia casually glanced around. To the left of her current location, a few leaves rustled and she knew that meant that the thing was perched on the lowest branch.
“Well, I’m heading off to find some grub. I’m sure ya’ll have this handled, right?”
Winking at the others, she took off away from them with the intention of having the final alien coming after her. It wasn’t long before she felt something nailing her from behind. Banking on that happening, she twisted her lithe frame just enough to bring the strange being beneath her. Slamming down against the ground, she pinned him down. Slamming her fist into its face over and over, she dug her knees into its side. One of its arms snaked out and she felt sharp nails or claws slicing across her arm. Grabbing a hold of the arm, she snapped it at the elbow before pulling the entire thing out of the socket.
Leaning back, she wrapped both arms around its head, tugging until wrenching its neck off the rest of its body. Climbing off the body, she glanced at her bloody arm, grumbling in irritation. Since she wasn’t all that far away from the others, Kalenia opted just to walk back to them, still quite annoyed at the injury. Hopefully the wound wouldn’t become infected, but she was sure she had a salve that would take care of any infection. Glancing towards Chardey as she continued to fight to capture the remaining alien, Kalenia cleared her mind in order to actually be calm when beginning her interrogation. Kneeling beside the two, she prepared to interrogate it, hoping it spoke the same form of language they did. Sure, she was fluent in a great number of language, but there were limitations.

Spinnaci smiled at how quickly the aliens fell to the team. Each one having their own strengths and weaknesses, and another able to compensate for one's weakness, made this a damn good team. Spinnaci landed next to Kalenia and walked with her towards Chardey, with his hands behind his head as he glanced over and noticed the wound.
"Heh, the bastard musta been pretty slick to get ya, huh? Doesn't look too bad, just a flesh wound."
Deep down, he was furious that some creature would ruin her perfect skin like that, and wanted to punch a hole through the last aliens head as payment...but on the outside, he covered it up very well and didn't let it show. He couldn't show any bit of weakness to the rest of the team, for it could mean disaster if they realized he actually had a heart.
The last of the invisible aggressors was now pinned down to the ground, his team mates dead and their killers gathering around to finish him off. Despite the alien’s desperate attempts to escape, Chardey’s vice-like grip remained as tight as ever: no amount of pulling or pushing would help the alien break free from the saiya-jin. Its fate was sealed and its impending doom almost certain. Panic had begun to set in its mind…
By the time Spinacci had returned, the native had faded back into view, its bronze body still writhing and struggling wildly. Fear and exhaustion had made it lose its invisibility; Spinacci, Kabu, Chardey and Kalenia could all see the bewildered look in its eyes and the way its chest heaved up and down as it gasped for air. Before the fight, the elite warriors might have had some doubts about winning against an invisible enemy, but seeing the ‘phantom menace’ lying helplessly at their feet cast them all aside: how could they lose against such a pathetic looking species?
As the thought crossed Kalenia’s mind, her body swayed as though the whole world had leaned sideways and she had lost her balance. She stood up and took two steps to the left before stumbling and falling back to one knee, panting as though she was drained of all energy.
The alien spotted this and immediately stopped moving. He stared at her and the look of fear on his face gradually disappeared, turning first into a smirk, then a smile, then a villainous grin. He knew what was happening to her…
