I voted for 2. It fits the style of Death Note well and looks very clean.

Honestly I wasn't feeling either of the two. However my vote went to Number 2.

Number 1 was way too grainy. It's like looking at a bad photograph in my photography class. You're going to get picked on about noise grain without a doubt. keep grain to a minimal and intentional.

Number 2 seems plain but is sharp and over all well constructed compared to 1.

1) Wow; big canvas; sorta wish there was more going on to fill such a large canvas, though; it's pretty empty. The abstract effects sorta suit the Deathnote theme, but the execution could have been better. Depth, while being present in the background, is virtually nonexistent in the foreground. The floating Deathnote is sort of in the way; not really sure why it was added. As blueangel said, it's really grainy. Overall, I'm not really diggin' it; sorry =/

2) Simple, yet effective. Sorta wish there was a bit more to it, perhaps "Delete" for typography in the spirit of Mikami. Can't really complain or compliment too much with what's given in the piece.

It's very clean but I have to agree it does seem to consist of 4 layers tops, and each very very simple

it's much to large for the stock, and seems someone just randomly spray painted yellow all over it, that and the death note book stands out way to much to me.

Apart from echoing what others had said before. I really don't like the "Misa Style" forced in there in what looks like Arial font.
