Like I said, I just found the game to be lazily done. Perhaps this will help, perhaps it won't. I'll check it out as it is free.

Hell I still jump on the multiplayer.

The multiplayer isn't bad on ME3. I can spend countless hours on it trying to get my good weapons and characters I want.

Last Airbender-A RP where people can bend elements to their will.

Re: The Citadel Extranet [Mass Effect GD]

Well, the Extended Cut has been released.

There are a couple more versions of the endings added. Tip, you can shoot the Catalyst now, and you can rebuke it now. Just the sheer fact that you can do it makes the ending at least feel better,
        Spoiler:
even if it is a downer ending.

Played through the three choices with a very, very high Readiness, and things were explained a bit better. Didn't save it, but it doesn't feel like as much of a middle finger any more.
The past is gone, now is all there is.

Re: The Citadel Extranet [Mass Effect GD]

You're wrong, the revised Control/Synthesis ending is perfect. It explains why Joker was at the mass relay in the first place (since he obviously had nothing to run from), the Normandy is no longer destroyed in the least explicable explosion of all time, the ship flies off again to have more adventures, and the Indoctrination Theory people are at last rebuked and confirmed as the utter skull bleeding idiots that we all knew they were.

Ok I could have lived without the giant speech in Control from Catalyst!Shepard (EDI and Hackett's speches in Destroy and Synthesis were much better, I thought), but evidently a ton of fans never recognized that the control ending involved controlling something the first time around, so I can understand the perceived need for it.
        Spoiler:
But God, I laughed when it got to the part about how the Reapers rebuild the Mass Relay network for you, and all of the planets the war destroyed, and usher in a new utopian dream as sage teachers of ancient knowledge and the silent defenders of the galaxy. Compared to the Destroy ending where everyone has to kind of drift at FTL speeds for a few hundred years to return home, and hope they dont all starve to death in the interim.

The new Synthesis is pretty good too, though I already liked the original one just fine (minus Joker's cyborg hat, Jesus). The new fate of all the Husks is a nice touch though. So was unmasking the Quarians in a non-lazy fashion. Its a little weird that Tali is the only quarian still wearing a mask, but I guess there's no real indication of timescale between the synthesis and the scene on Rannoch.

Why did all of you guys want the Refuse ending anyway? You already had an ending where you ignore the Catalyst and do whatever you feel like (i.e. the one where you kill the Reapers). Destroy is not an option the Catalyst gives you, its why you were on the Citadel to begin with. I don't hate it, don't get me wrong. Its a nicely realized ending on its own, and I like Liara's scene. Also is that Keith Szarabajka as the Catalyst in the angry "so be it"?

Re: The Citadel Extranet [Mass Effect GD]

just viewed the extended ending and it's better than the original endings plus the fourth "refusal" ending.

Edit: I prefer the synthasis ending cos it's
        Spoiler:
showing the fact that the husks have regained their humanity as well as giving the reapers humanity as well, making them realise that they can't go around every 50,000 years and destroy everyone and everything only leaving enough to start over.

Re: The Citadel Extranet [Mass Effect GD]

as well as giving the reapers humanity as well
Yeah, except that's not what happened in that ending.

The Reapers haven't been changed at all. Their purpose has been fulfilled, and they have no more reason to fight younger races.

making them realise that they can't go around every 50,000 years and destroy everyone and everything only leaving enough to start over.
Of course they can. They've done it for over a billion years (source: Bring Down the Sky) without any problems.

well actually Bring Down The Sky wasn't to do anything with the Reapers. It was to do about the terrorist group of batarians in Mass Effect 1 and you had to either face Balak and make the bomb go off and kill the hostages or let Balak go and make the bomb stop in time and release the hostages. It had nothing to do about the Reapers. It was a standalone DLC mission on ME1 with little to no effect on the reapers, same with Pinnacle Station.

If you load a save file with Bring Down the Sky into ME3, Balak tells you that the giant corpse that vanished from Hades Gamma was a 1 billion year old Reaper.

Re: The Citadel Extranet [Mass Effect GD]

I finally played through all the extended cut endings, the additional epilogue scenes are nice but effectively kill off a lot of the fan theories, notably the indoctrination theory. There's still a bunch of plot-holes but I can look past them. The Mass Effect trilogy was my favourite game series during this console cycle, and I'm not going to let a crappy last 10 minutes sour it.

Not sure what's next for the Mass Effect universe though, Mass Effect 4 is teased...

        Spoiler:
...with Shepard surviving in the destroy ending and the stargazer scene at the end teasing us with "tell us another story about the shepard".

However how do they plan to transition to a new game, are they going to force one of the endings on the player as canon and the others as what if scenarios?

well they already did the whole "Shepard is dead and brought back to life" in ME2 and they did state that ME3 was Shepard's final chapter and ending of the story to his/her part, so I hope they don't go and do a ME4...unless they have the bad ending as the canon version and have the rest as non-canon and saying "well; shepard did all he/she did to try and destroy/stop the reapers but it didn't happen.". But, I would like to see ME4 as a prequel with the first war before ME1 with the Turians and Humans but not in a sense of "Command & Conquer" type thing Bungie did with Halo Wars.

Re: The Citadel Extranet [Mass Effect GD]

I personally would like the Shepard story put to bed. However with EA publishing, A new Shepard trilogy is sure to sell big, so I can see Shepard returning in future games. EA arn't known for taking a lot of creative risks.

There's a lot of areas they could explore in the past, even the previous cycles that ultimately get wiped out by the reapers could be interesting.

However Halo tried to branch away from Master Chief and also did a prequel but ultimately those games under performed and Microsoft went back to Master Chief for Halo 4.

That's exactly what they did after 2, that's exactly what they'll do here. My money is on synthesis since it, y'know, actually solves the problem.
