I have to admit I dont know which is better either depends on the location I guess.
But from personal preference I'd say the first one, I love harsh tones

I think they all look good, but I think the third is best for the characters as the colours are almost exact, and have the same pastel shades too ^^

well you deffo got some calling to draw. nurture it =D a year into it is way too soon to expect grand results, but youve got a good start there. my biggest advice would be to find bunch of mythological creatures, or even real ones and copy them for few months. see how their skeletons work, where muscles land. mere copying improves hand to eye coordination too, will help you get used to getting things out of your head easier.
