Wow, I love the Ryoko one! The text seems to fit too!

Goddess of Wisdom || Journal + My GFX
Thank you both for the kind words of encouragement. God knows i need them sometimes Honestly i really feel like I've fallen off a bit. A wierd and maybe dumb habit of mind with my sigs and avis is to have them reflect something I'm digging on at the moment. This can be an issue when i can't seem to make whatever it is I'm into work for me creatively. I say all that to more or less explain how i ended up with these. All of which i feel pretty meh about. I can't remember how many times i rage quit photoshop working with that picture of ryoko and ayeka. For the life of me i just couldn't make the image work. After this one I just gave up on that stock altogether. Something I threw together using what was essentially my first sig tutorial. Tried some diffrent dimensions here. Still not great. After this i decided to give it a rest. My placeholder sig. Uber simple but it gets the job done. I'll prolly do a spiffier one next time i'm on a bebop kick. Hah. I actually forgot my entry for the last sotf contest. I was surprised it went over as well as it did. No votes but a few mentions which is infinitely more than what i expected.
Episode ? has fantastic smudging in the background! I really like the light effects in the one above it too. I think it's cool that your work reflects a little bit of yourself. Mine usually only shows if I'm feeling inspired or not.

Practice sigs. cause i've been out of it for a minute (it's all onlive's fault. With it's bioshocks and Borderlands ) I like aspect of both of then but neither completely comes together for me. Stormy saxaphone in particular makes me wanna try and make cleaner sigs for a while. I've noticed that everything i make tends to be pretty messy and leads to my works being super inconsistent.
Oh wow, I really like both of those. First sig: great colors. It's hard to make red and blue work together, but you pulled it off by making the red more purple-ish. Nicely done. I'm not a huge fan of ghost images (that second duplication of the stock in the background) since they're generally just a way to fill up space. Some nice splatter brushes would ave worked better. I also think you should make the text a little more transparent to add to the cool moonlight feel of the sig. Overall, I love the atmosphere. Second sig: In this case, I like the second offset, since you have it in a little box off to the side. I know a lot of good GFXers who favor that as a style, and I've always enjoyed it. Again, good colors, though I think some yellow orbs of light (you can make them with a soft, round brush) would help it pop. The horizontal smudge on his right arm is messing with the vertical flow in the background, though. Always have the motion in your sigs go in one direction or within 45 degrees of each other. 90 degrees is too jarring. Great work!
So....not sure if theres a specific place for videos but I also make amv's.....sorta. To be specific they're alternate openings for various animes. I've made 3 so far. I'm hoping i can find feedback here.
I'm a hardcore Yu-gi-oh fan, so I have to say the first one struck me. I always loved the English opening theme for YGO, but I have to say yours fit too. The music and beat were timed perfectly.
So back to photoshoping (the current Sotf contest inspired me a bit ) Not much though. My current sig And a sig for another forum.
I like them both a lot! Section sigs (like the top one) are something I always want to do but can never quite pull off. Nice choice on the blue coloring too. The second one is a great smudge sig. (Another thing I'm not good at XD). I like your text placement.
Thanks again for the praise. Your beginning to feel like my one woman fanclub Oddly enough the section sig is one of the easiest things I've ever made. All i did was transform the various images to to fit in a way that looked reminiscent to a comic book. Outside of that and extracting the front image the only real effect being used is a Gradient map. Honestly being praised for makes me feel like I'm getting away with something I wanna say I'm getting a pretty good feel for text placement.....though I can only do it decently with small amounts. Also for whatever reason I really struggle with fitting my SN into these damned things. Maybe it's just cause it's to damned small. Looking at your sigs I'd have a heard time believing you struggle with anything GFX related. Then again your quite a ways beyond me. If I put my work up to the standards you and the other heavy hitters around here prolly set for yourself I'd experience a horror lovecraftian in nature.

I love the render in this http://i1020.photobucket.com/albums/...inprogress.png You still have?
I think so. One sec *scampers off to search for render* Well as it turns out I lost the original image when I had to wipe the hard drive. I was able to salvage this from the "in progress" save I transfered over. You gonna make something spiffy with it?

That render is pretty nice, but if you shrunk it by one pixel, it would get rid of all that white around it.
RITCHERRRR *saves like burning* I'll try :]
Weeeee. I've been on fire today. On top of these I got my Sig and Avi of the fortnight entries done.....shame it'll be a while before I can post them though.
