so drew this friday in class..

That looks good. The shading is really nice, particularly around the neck and under the hair. I also like the little touches of detail, like the earing and lip ring

Looking forward to seeing a scanned version in the future when you get everything back up and running

I really like his eyes and expression and the shape of his face! The shades is really good, i love it on the nose is really smooth and really well done as whole.
The guy looks really attractive, and lips looks great! As Drifter say really nice details.

Very good pose and the hood adds a lot of 'attitude'.

The only thing is the right leg as it looks slightly out of angle. I think perhaps it is the folds of the material rather than the actual angle in itself.

If you draw more hot guys, post em here!

Lol it's also a little shorter than it should be. I didn't notice until after i uploaded...I'll probably do a digital line once I get back home at the end of august if I don't do a better drawing of him........

He looks great, his expression is excellent, and youve done a really good job on the face and hair in general. As Heartless said, the leg just looks a little off, but other than that, its a really nice piece =)

lol nice, good bishies. personally cant get to draw guys more even though id prefer it T_T7 boobs somehow always happen without me noticing it. so anyway! the char you want to use in ur fic, i think his eyes a a liiiitle too far apart? might be why youre struggling to get the snarky expression

I haven't been able to draw much lately due to training and probably won't be able to do much of anything else either....thanks to training.. ugh.. so tired...must sleep...maybe I'll up load some writing or something... if the mood strikes.. I mean, technically I'm in the mood right now... but sleep demands I write in my dreams instead...ugh... wish me luck! RAWR!

So today I went to my very first anime convention. It was.... okay. I guess I was expecting something more? I don't know. Maybe it was the fact I went by myself that made it lacking in the fun-zone I was hoping for.

In any case, there were a lot of great cosplay I got to see... and a lot of horrible ones... and some AMAZING artists there to include the creators of Teahouse Web Comic. I didn't get to stop by their booth and really look too hard because it was just too crowded everytime I walked by them. I really was hoping to talk to them, or at least buy something, but ah well... maybe another time.

I also sat in on a Digital Painting 101 lecture. It was actually very good and I learned a few new tricks concerning creating background images (which I'm horrible at). I'll be giving it a few shots here and there. It also convinced me to give Corel Painter a try. So when I got home I ordered it so it'll be at my house once I get there (I live in Charleston). Have any of you tried Painter? Got any opinions on it?

For those of you who didn't know, I've been away from home since April at a training school (trying to work towards that promotion and all). I would have probably produced more than just scrap art if my laptop didn't catch a virus and I didn't have to set it back to factory settings. As a result the driver for my tablet was erased, and the installation CD for it is allllll the way back home. I should be back home with all my software and sketching material by the 25th of this month. Woot!

In any case, the con inspired me to work on my basic talents of sketching a bit more. I think I need to set down a more regular schedule of drawing to get back into the swing of things. Do any of you set aside a set time to draw and work on your comics or mangas?

So, despite my best efforts I haven't been able to draw much.. I got Corel Painter, messed around with it a little but I haven't produced any drawings or the like since I've been back... -sigh-.. I don't know When I'll be able to produce something so.. it's official. I'm on Hiatus until I do.
