Please utilize this thread for any of the following:
1. Questions & Help: Confused over something? Want to know how to do make a dropbox, put a sig up, where you can spend your credits, how to enter a clan, etc? Ask your questions here. This is the only guaranteed way to get a response. PMing an admin or member of staff with a question does not always guarantee a quick reply. However we will try to help you to the best of our ability as quickly as we can. All questions asked here will usually have a response to them within 48 hours.
2. View Forum Probations & Bannings: The Admin team will keep an updated list of any member on probation or banned in this thread, in the second post. For more information, scroll down or click "Probation and Bannings" underneath the heading at the top of this post.
3. Staff Changes & Suggestions: Any time there is a staff change or staff announcement, a member of the Admin team will notify AL by posting it here. You can also suggest a member for a staff position here. We will make note of your recommendation and take it into consideration during the next staff selection process.
4. AL Shop, Credits & Awards: With our new VBulletin Shop, certain things will be changing, including how credits are given, what you can buy in the shop, etc. In here, I will give you the information you need to utilize the shop. Please post your questions if I haven't addressed anything you're curious about. I will also give a brief explanation on our award system.

Probation and Bannings Information

Probations
Members who are not quite banned, but definitely have done something very bad either in the past or present to warrant this status. Probations can range from one month to three months. Dates shown below indicate when these people's probation periods will expire. Unbanned members ALWAYS go onto probation for a minimum of two months. Members on probation are also banned from the following permissions: cannot attach or download files in posts, cannot have signatures, cannot change their avatar, cannot change their username, cannot go on hidden, cannot send emails, and cannot lead a clan.
Depending on the severity and conditions surrounding your probation, an admin may also determine if you lose the following: Loss of all credits, loss of all ranks earned (including but not limited to assistant status), restricted from posting in certain sections (where the problems originated).

Upon release of your probation, all of your permissions will be restored, EXCEPT in any case where you lose CREDITS OR RANK. Those will have to be re-earned from scratch. Loss of permissions will not be open for negotiation during your probation.
All warnings issued by staff count as unofficial warnings until they are confirmed. If a staff member thinks a breach of rules/conduct is particularly severe, they may have that warning confirmed as an official warning by messaging the details to the current Security Administrator (or Deputy Administrator, if there is no Security Administrator), or the Head Administrator in cases of absence or conflicting interests.

Once a member has accumulated three warnings, they will be put on probation for at least two months. If they acquire a fourth official warning, they will be banned for no less than one month, with no exceptions. Members who have been banned multiple times over consistent time periods may be eligible for Indefinite or Permanent Banning.
Although most bans are now to be carried out by the administration, if a Head Moderator witnesses severe and obvious trolling, they may issue a one week ban, to be reviewed (and possibly extended) by the administration. Additionally, spam and advertising bots may be immediately banned by any staff member.

What are Credits?
Credits are AnimeLeague's currency. You can earn credits by good posting, participating in events, and generally being helpful. Credits can then be spent in this topic as well as in the shop linked above.

How do I find out how many Credits I have?
Easy! Under the "Blogs" tab at the top of the forums, you should see a "kBank" option with a downward arrow. Click that arrow and you'll see how many credits you have under "Other".

How do I earn Credits?

Making Posts: Each post made outside of Ramblings and private clan forums earns you 5 or 10 credits - every forum varies. In some forums, you earn more credits making topics than posting in threads.
Being an assistant or working on a scheme: Schemes will often award credits for their workers. If you would like to apply to become an assistant and join a scheme, check out this topic here. There are also many other benefits in becoming an assistant, often assistants can work their way up in staff by becoming a moderator, head moderator, and even admin!
Inviting Your Friends: You can earn up to 500 credits for inviting a friend to these boards. If they stay on AL and have 50 posts at a months time, you get another 500 credits. Check out this topic here.
Participating in Graphic/Art/Fiction Battles: Various battles in this section offer credit prizes for members who place 1st, 2nd and/or 3rd.
Special Events/Contests/Tournies: You can gain credits for participating in special events. Usually special events are announced in specific forums. If you are unsure if the event is handing out credits, then ask in the thread.
Reporting Rule breakage and oversized signatures: Sig limits are 300 (height) by 800 (width) pixels. To report an oversized sig, or for more information, please go here.

NOTE: If you get warned for breaking a rule, you will sometimes LOSE credits!

How do I spend credits?
The new shop will now give you instant access. Simply click the BUY link and your credits will be deducted and your new item or permission will be applied to your profile.
Forum Items are those that you won't see in your profile post-bit (area where your avatar is when you post) - they include things like special permissions or features that you don't have by default.
Profile Items are those that are icons that will show up in your post-bit. You can buy these items for yourself or buy them as a gift for a friend.
Unlike the old shop, RANK BARS CAN'T BE BOUGHT IN THE SHOP! You can, however, buy them via this thread or by PMing the community Admin at any time. If you wish to sell your current rank bar for another one (or not), you will receive 70% back from that bar (just like the old forums) towards your new bar.

Platinum Ranks: 15,000 credits. These rank bars are animated and will gift you with a quality from one of our admin.

What are Awards?
Awards are post-bit images approximately 25 by 25 pixels that will also show up under your "Awards" tab in your profile. Different sections award different participation like Signature and Avatar of the Month contests in GFX and Art, monthly Cosplay Haven contests, Assistant of the Month awards, etc. Board-wide events will also earn the winners awards as well. Click "Awards" next to "VBShop" at the top of the page to see a complete list of awards available. Some awards you can recommend for others or request for yourself.
