I like the lighting on top of his head which contrasts both areas of light and dark. Though I think the interface between them is too sharp , try fading the black from the light with more feathered and gradual touch. Secondly blur the edges of the gun and add some sparkles or something small behind it in the dark area and blur them even more. Thats gonna create depth and flow for you.

If I may give you a tip on text, if you can't think of something to say, think of a line that sparks a certain feel or emotion you want to portray. If you've got a really flash and exciting signature, try something a hero from a movie or book might say like "I've got this" in a flash font or color.

Like for that one, a line I could see fitting if you wanted it to have text would be something a little courageous, maybe something such as "Courage in the face of danger"

See , the dark black area starts very soon from the smudgy light smudged area , what I want you to do is , smudge the whitish more and lightly so that there isnt a sharp interface between the white and black like that

I love the lighting in your new one, but like I've said about your last few sigs, I feel like they're missing something. The blending and lighting are always great, but there's nothing solid near the focal to latch onto. I'd like it a lot more if it had brushwork or clipping masks or something like that.

Yup, it's from Soul Eater- something that I've been meaning to watch for a while now, yet still haven't.

And yeah, I can see what you mean by there being nothing solid near the focal to latch onto. I'm not sure how brushwork would end up looking, but I'll test a few different things to see if I can't fix that sense that something's missing.

Yeah its not difficult. If both the dark and white are on the same layer all you need to do is smudge it.

Sorry for not updating for the past couple of weeks. Been busy with school and video games (mainly games). But yeah, I'll get on updating that last piece when I'm in the mood to do so.

Until then, here's a movie poster I'm creating for an English project. Hamlet and stuff. Not even close to being perfect or to my liking, but I think that it works enough to get me a decent grade. Still tweaking it a bit, but suggestions are welcome.

Thanks. As for the stock's quality, though, I'm not sure if there's much I can do about it. All of the stocks that I planned on using were only of decent quality at best before upscaling them, and that generally made them worse. This was the only stock that actually held up well enough.

If anything, I'm planning on passing it off as an older movie production with lower quality graphics. :twisted:

Desaturate the original a teensy bit since it looks pixelated in the color areas and secondly since you want a dark feel , it should look fine with less saturation.
Typography looks great , but I cant see the "H"
Light source needs to be of lesser opacity and secondly dont keep it white , keep it less saturated red.

I'll try both of those things. And for the "H", is it not visible at all, or is it just hard to see? I was sort of going for the "fade from black" look with that bit of the typography...

That's hot.

I love the light source and how perfectly it works with the shading on your stock's face. The lens glare is really great too, and I normally hate those. The little twinkly spots of light add a perfect touch.

I think it's sexy as hell. Any plans for text?
