Convention Melbourne

I felt bad about having no time to take photos in Brisbane, so I am putting some up from the Melbourne convention that was slightly smaller with more time to actually reach down and grab my camera.

A lot happened. To put it basically I was stalked, snuggled, glomped, stroked and fell inlove.

I never thought I could feel so strongly about a man again... It's completely unexpected.. But when I saw him I just couldn't stop myself.

I am ashamed to say I ran over and grasped onto him firmly, and instantly professed my undying adoration.

Grell Sutcliff, I am a slave to your charms.. I cannot resist you.



Its so new I could only find the concept drawings of the figures online. Yes, I have both. After I insisted on buying Grell (They only had one set and Sebastian is the other figure in this pair) my assistant insisted on buying Sebastian for me because they shouldn't be forced apart.. It was a very wonderful occurrence. Every night I look at them and smile. I rarely buy things for myself, its hard to do so when in business with a tight budget and friends overseas that you like to send gifts to, but I had to get Grell. Plus he has a chain saw that he can hold.. It is so utterly beautiful!

And Sebastian came out slightly different to the concept art, he's pushing his glasses up looking sexy.

That was the first day while the vendors were setting up. I went over to chat and commented on wanting a completely different Sebastian figure, one of him pouring tea, and then the man picked out that set and put it right in front of me (obvious much?) but I could not say no... Damn it Grell is so beautiful. I will treasure that figure always. They are going to be so hard to come by, as it is there was only one set at the entire convention.

Anyway, the cosplay was an absolute blast, I sold out of some which was brilliant. I will be getting back to the tailors and ordering a LOT more.

So here is the basic story of my weekend with pictures to assist the experience:

Enchan goes to con to meet up with Undertaker in break:



Unfortunately Enchan doesn't get a break on that day and Undertaker says tomorrow shall be the day of awesomeness when Enchan's short break turns into super fun happy time with my favorite coffin maker.

But then Undertaker is sick and doesn't come the next day, which makes a very sad Enchan.. While Enchan is looking sad, an Orochimaru cosplayer that has been e-mailing Enchan comes up and sits in the chair beside which is no longer occupied by the assistant who rushed off to get signatures from famous peoples.

And Orochimaru draws a flailing Sasuke to cheer up Enchan XD



This makes for a happy Enchan who is all ready to chat to cosplayers and spots a suspect pair snuggling in front.



USAGI AND MISAKI! And they have Tsuzuki in a sandwich.. Lucky bear >>

But their sandwich attracts the attention of other cosplayers.. And a very blond bishie decides he wants to lick one of his co-members and when refused things get violent.



NOOOOOOOO! Enchan is a peace keeper ;.; no fighting...

Sadly Orochimaru doesn't help the situation when a staff member of the con winks at me x.x



What to do what to do.. I know, I must dial a friend!

With the combined efforts of a pervert and young teenagers I shall stop the fighting!

Which reminds me. At this point Orochi was demanding I walk around and take a break.. But my assistant has vanished.. So Orochi parked right in front of my store and decided to draw more flailing ukes, not wanting to move until I pry myself away from work to be escorted around.



XD so many people freaked out over Orochimaru sitting at my store, they looked down, then ran. It was amusing, though bad for business I suppose. So when my assistant got back I moved out and Orochi offered me an arm and around we went to all of my vending friends, saying 'Have you seen my Orochimaru, I got him for a bargain price!' <3 it was insanely fun for the whole 20 minutes I had free XD

So back to work! And damn was I working, taking very productive photographs!



Read the shirt of the guy on the right, it is AWESOME!

SO anywho, at this point I am feeling sad because I wanted to get something especially for inoue, and I couldn't find anything.. v.v

BUT THEN I BRIBED SOME COSPLAYERS AND THEY GAVE ME YAOI FOR INOUE! >D!

It was a very productive day and Orochimaru caught sasuke in the end... Twice...



So, that was my weekend. Nothing particularly out of the usual.

And those cosplayers are pretty amazing. I love the hair in the Kingdom Hearts group.

I can't wait till I can get there so I can go to lots of conventions. I want to start cosplaying too! I mean like seriously cosplaying, not just a little hobby. (and I want to start my own business selling plushies that I make but enough about that >>)

while I am guilty of downloading subbed anime, I really do try to buy them when I can... it's hard since i can only get them through Amazon... and they're a different region... US is region 1, Asia is region 3

true that the economy is shit... but there are times that they do go on sale.... those are the times that I wait for
free eps available online... MOSTLY in the US... meh... and I can't seem to access the Funi site...

I plan on buying Junjo Romantica when it comes out... and also when the whole set of Rurouni Kenshin comes out again (approx US$160... praying for it to be a heck of a lot cheaper on pre-order)

My last amazon love package contained Peacemaker, Trinity Blood, Fruits Basket and HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE (hate young Sophie's dubbed voice )
those DVDs and about... 14 manga...


I feel that english manga is also suffering the same fate of dying a slow death... though on that part I am proud to say that I do buy them when the scans that I loved come out in english format (and even 1 or 2 that I didn't like so much)... and i used to even buy the japanese ones, but the post office for the EMS is so far away x.x

I don't really like reading it online or on my pc... the feeling of holding a good solid book in my hands is still something I love... I just wish they'd invent drool proof paper...

Go and buy DVDs please! If you truly are fans...
and free comic book day is coming! they should be on sale, right??
