What is It? The Cosplay Showdown is a knock-out contest. Three judges will host the contest and pass judgment on each act and decide whether each group proceeds through or not. There will be a prize of £50 for the winning team! The Rounds Round 1 - Freeform Skits. The standard skit. Entertain us. There is a time-limit of 2 minutes for each skit. Only four teams will progress to Round 2! Round 2 - Maimed Karaoke. Not based on how well you can sing, but on how hilariously you can maim a song. Choose your song, make up your words and lyrics and entertain us! Only two teams will go through to the final! Round 3 - The Final Showdown. Just the final two teams now, as they get up on stage for the final showdown! Each team takes a turn to perform a Final Fantasy/Pokemon (or from any generally well known RPG) style attack on their opponent. For every attack the judge decides if it was a critical hit (lose 25HP), super-effective (lose 15HP), hit (lose 5HP), miss (lose zero), or fail (the attacking team loses HP!). Expect for unexpected twists and turns as the final showdown heats up! Surviving team wins the showdown! For your skit and maimed karaoke song, please make sure to bring along a usb stick or burned CD with your music on it. Your Team and Signing Up - You can enter as a team of between 2 and 6 people. - You can choose to signup before-hand (in this topic), or you can opt to signup on the day (at anytime up to 6pm). - Obviously if you form your team beforehand then you will be able to prepare for the Freeform Skit and Maimed Karaoke. - Another good reason to signup beforehand is that we will cap the contest at 12 teams. It's first come, first-served.

Sorry, Im confused. Is this event meant to have casual cosplay like at the expos or is cosplay suppose to be just for the masquerade and showdown?

We have two cosplay-related events - the Masquerade and the Showdown. The masquerade has everyone showing off their cosplay, whereas the showdown is more game-orientated involving teams which perform skits and improv for the audience.
So if you're not signed for either event then you shouldn't cosplay?

Iam up for this I do skit at the expo (hitmanx2 and pal) 2 pople so I done a few thing like this one thing do we sinning to the Karaoke or do we change the lyics befor and mine
