TCGing will be back at this London Anime & Gaming Con courtesy of Parallel Worlds (https://www.facebook.com/ParallelWorldsToys ). The zone will be located in the expanded corridor area. As well as tournaments throughout the day, there will be space for casual play as well.

Timetable for Saturday 2nd July & Sunday 3rd July

      11.00am - Room opens/Sign-ups
      12.00pm - Yu-Gi-Oh Tournament
1.00pm - Magic the Gathering Tournament
      2.00pm - Pokemon Tournament

      3.00pm - Weiss Schwarz Casual Meet-Up

      Information about Casual Meet-Ups.

There will be no structured tournaments for Cardfight Vanguard or Weiss Scwarz this time. However, we have added it to the timetable so that every one who is interested in playing these games can meet up at the same time. If enough people support these Meet-Ups then we may run a free mini tournament and add some prizes.

Just out of interest, will the magic be bring a deck, or sealed? Seen as I haven't played for long enough that none of the cards I have are in standard anymore, but if a draft is going on I may get involved.

Re: TCG Zone - Timetable and Information

Format for Magic will be Standard, but don't worry if you don't have a deck. We will have pre-constructed decks and packs for sale so players can construct a deck on the day. As most people at LAGC are casual players it's unlikely we'll be able to organise a draft but if the demand is there we can do that.

What format is the Pokemon TCG? Standard or expanded?

Re: TCG Zone - Timetable and Information

A T2 tournament where some players use proper decks and others have ... something + boosters? If I bring Selesnya Aggro vs. any of-the-shelf deck ... I don't see that being too much fun.
I understand that there may not be enough people for a draft, but that also implies that above scenario is more likely in a tournament.

Why not play a sealed tournament instead? That way everybody draws from the same card pool and decks are about equal in strength. It also makes it easier for new comers or returning players, as it limits the amount of mechanics (depending on how many different sets the boosters come from). Further, people get the joy of deck building.
From the money making pov it also makes sense. You get to sell boosters and potentially land packs. Friend groups leave with decks that they can play against each other later on and it is still balanced. Everybody wins =).

Besides, will it be DCI event? If no, will there be a judge?

In addition to the Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon and Magic the Gathering tournaments there will be a Casual Meet-Up for Cardfight Vanguard and Weiss Schwarz players. So if you play these games, bring your decks along and play some casual games. These will commence at 3.00pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

If you play any other tcg or ccg than those mentioned then please post here and let other people know. You can then arrange to meet up and play some games in the TCG area.

i may as well bring my broken ass Weiss Deck and get rekt
"There are bad ways to win-- and good ways to lose.
What's interesting and troubling is that it's not always clear which is which.
A flipped coin doesn't always land heads or tails.

Sometimes it may never land at all..."

Re: TCG Zone - Timetable and Information

As Pokemon Sun/Moon is officially released on 3rd February we will be allowing them in the tournament - we don't want to deprive people of playing with their new cards!
