Yeah by all accounts most of the earlier JRPGs that came out (particularly the handful that were released for the 360 during its largely wasted "head start" year) are pretty bad. I still wonder why they even bothered to make a Tales game for the 360 anyway. I mean the 360 has a negligible presence in Japan and Namco withholds most Tales games from North America just because they are a faggot and don't know how to market that shit properly. And really, the same could be said about pretty well all of the JRPGs that were released exclusively on the 360. I mean it's not like that's the console people even think of when they want to get JRPGs. Anyway, Nier. Yeah it's an action RPG but it's the story that sets it apart, really. Fucking great stuff. I suppose you could watch one of those gay "let's play" things on YouTube or something. Maybe K7 will do one, and the whole time he will provide his "expert VG Hmod commentary" or whatever.
Ew I said Operation Moonfall on accident that's the one to get that shitty Majora's Mask game on the 3DS god Zelda games are awful. Are any of the early gen 7 ones any good? Last Remnant and whatnot. Nier has too much Western RPG in it for my taste fuck having to actually walk up to things and slash at them and actively cast spells and shit real time is for nerds. But I have a Wii and a 360 so I will most likely get all of those. I was thinking of getting the Operation Rainfall games anyway. Hopefully Pandora's Tower will make it here too. A shame about Tales only being for 360 here. Every review site I've seen that does PS3 and 360 reviews seperately puts the PS3 version an entire grade above the 360 version.
Reno which of the modern jRPGs are any good? I haven't really been keeping up. Just in terms of actual brand new games, not remakes/ports/whatever. Mainly just wondering what 360/Wii/PS3 ones I should pick up, if any. I guess DS and PSP are fine too, assuming there even are any good, new games for those besides Radiant Historia.
