Welcome to Flash Fiction of the Month #8 - Introduction

For this FFotM, we want you to write an introductory chapter for a short story, with any genre/theme you wish. Original work or fan work is fine (for fan work, obviously you can use an existing setting/characters, but use an original short story)

This chapter needs to include three things;
1 - An introduction for a character/s
2 - Set up for the story
3 - An introduction for the setting

Im raising the word count to ~2000 rather than the usual 1000 to allow more freedom as this FFotM is slightly more involved than usual



PRIZES

#1 - 2500 credits + FFotM icon
#2 - 1500 credits
#3 - 500 credits
For entering - 100

If there are tie's then rewards will be given to both/all participants involved.
